Provisionals at UQ, USyd, UWA, USC, UMelb 99+ can use their Bachelor degree to apply to other GAMSAT schools.Yes its very common at least at UQ. IIRC some places consider Flinders' program toi be medicine not provisional so you may experience hickups there...
Is the application still just a few non-assessed questions about yourself in 25 words?Would anybody be willing to read through my UNSW med application and give some feedback? Thanks
Yeah it is - that's why I wasn't too worried about it but everyone seems to be very careful with theirsIs the application still just a few non-assessed questions about yourself in 25 words?
I have been wondering about this too. You are right, it’s impossible to know until the unis announce their plans. But I am interested in hearing others thoughts too.Hi. It was announced yesterday that NSW ATARs will be released on the 20th of January.
Wondering how this will impact entrance into interstate med/dent for NSW people.
For example, UQ dentistry has around 40 places each year, and this was my backup (no interview). Will they reserve some places for NSW people? (UQ Dent offer round is 13th of Jan. NSW ATARs come out 20th of Jan. Next QTAC offer round is 21st of Jan. Do we just hope enough people reject their 13th Jan offers? Or is there a possibility that the offer round gets delayed to accommodate for NSW people? I know no one can answer for sure, but nervous and want to hear peoples thoughts.)
In short, are NSW people screwed for interstate universities this year?
It's possible but not a guaranteeIs anyone a medical student at Bonds University or know someone in that program?
Is it possible to be invited to sit the stage 2 test, with a GPA of 5.8 (on a 7 point scale)?
would appreciate a response, thank you!
i think you can get "predications" from your school or principle, which is a formal letter that you attach to your application.Since IB results are released on the 3rd of January, is there a possibility that IB students are going to miss out on any offers or interview invites?
Like in previous years USyd interviews are delayed for IBs, UNSW is delayed for NSW IBs, Monash only one day's notice for Vic IBs.Since IB results are released on the 3rd of January, is there a possibility that IB students are going to miss out on any offers or interview invites?
Sorry super long post but to summarize, it depends on if your willing to take some financial and time based risks initially and if your financial situation is strong enough to take that risk.Hey could anyone provide with their thoughts regarding UMelb and Bond medical programs which are full fee paying for individuals who can not pay off the fee straight away, is it a smart idea to take out a loan, how hard is it to and is there any risk associated with that (e.g. UMelb has the whole interview thing).
Bond's fee is ~$400k, UMelb FFP ~$250k. You can put into FEE-HELP up to (I think) $140k, the rest plus $20k/year living expenses you need to come up with. Unlike student loans in the US i don't know of any available from banks/finance companies here. It's usually from parents' pockets or parents taking a 2nd mortgage on their house.who can not pay off the fee straight away, is it a smart idea to take out a loan, how hard is it to
UniMelb looks to be ~$330k going off of the website, and that's before you add the 33k of the first three years of Biomed/Science.Bond's fee is ~$400k, UMelb FFP ~$250k.
