Griffith Griffith Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

Anyone know if any Anki decks get passed around for DOH courses?
There will probably be lots of people using anki for the courses, but it will just depend if people are nice enough to share ;) you could also try older year students who might have some decks they used previously, but have no use for anymore :)

2022 Griffith dental school
Interview offers are purely based on ucat score.
Then, a combination of GPA(40%), MMI(40%) and UCAT(20%) is used to rank applicants for final offers.
Where did you get these percentages? Although Griffith dent webpage previously said they would use ATAR/GPA, UCAT and MMI, now the official webpage shows they only need academic results. However, the UCAT ANZ still lists Griffith dent in the consortium of universities.

So GPA does not play a role in selecting applicants for interview?

Hey Guys!

Does anyone know what the minimum UCAT cutoff was to obtain a MMI at Griffith University? If not would everyone like to state what the got to obtain an interview?

Thanks!
This year marks the first time Griffith will be using interviews in their selection process for dentistry so you'll have to wait around and find out. Focus on getting the best UCAT score you can, a rule of thumb is 90%ile+ nets you an interview opportunity at most if not all dentistry schools that require UCAT and interview.

True. Although it will be interesting as Griffith is like 3 times the size of other dental schools with a similar interview selection (30 adelaide/csu vs 90 griffith), so the ucat score might be a bit lower. Although, these schools also do alot of interview (adelaide does like 300 iirc) so maybe Griffith won't be too different.

Either way, aim as high as possible, but as ucatboy said a 90%+ will open quite a few doors

Also 3 times the tuition fee of other dental schools. Personally I speculate that the ucat cut-off is more likely going to be around the high 80s.

True, but i dont think that will lower scores at the interview stage because theres no obligation to take a place if offered one. If anything it will mean more people knock back offers so theres need for even more interviews!

realistically i have no idea either way and i agree somewhere in the 80s is a safe bet

They are likely to interview more applicants if a lot of people have rejected their offers in the past. The more people they interview, the lower the cutoff will be.

Griffith Uni Dentistry Open day for mature age student.

Awesome, did they say wether or not it would be recorded? Might have some valuable info about their new selection criteria
