I have emailed the admission office and apparently 2nd round offers won't come out until the first week of jan

I got wait listed for Med with a 92.2% average, do you think i have a chance of getting in with later rounds of offers, or should i give up hope now haha
Hi there, the direct entry cutoff is 93.57%, so I think you can absolutely get in. Just wait patiently for the 2nd and 3rd round offers. Besides, med school still offers places after classes have begun😁

Yes, and if you get offered med then you need to email in to cancel your acceptance of dent.

Do be sure that you WANT to do dentistry before you accept it, though. Don't go into an entirely different career you won't love because you didn't get into med
Hey so I'm on the waitlist for med but unlikely to get in (91.28) and I was looking to apply to oz, just wondering about your situation and how you got to australia!

hi milo! i'll type up smth and send it to u, just remind me to do it tomorrow x

I have a few questions that I could use some help with.
1. what is the email address for the people that I can contact for finding out where I am on the med wait list?
2. how likely am I to get a offer for medicine with a 93.28 average?
3. does everyone that gets 100% in physics191 get the Agnes Randall Blackie Memorial Prize for physics ( seems like a dumb question but it says only 3 people get the prize and I know more than 3 people that got 100% xD )

I just emailed health science admissions, but they can't tell us anything until 3rd Jan, since thats when the offers for 1st round lapse. The cutoff was 93.43 this year for first round.

For Kiwis interested in studying in Australia: please use the appropriate forum to ask questions/post information so that all information can remain central, making it more accessible.

did the admissions office say that? did they say what it was for dent?
I emailed the Admissions Office this morning and this was their response:

"Thank you for your email.

As per your waitlist notification, applicants are given until 3 January 2020 to respond to their offer of a place and/or wait list place and therefore we cannot confirm your position until after this date.

No wait list places will be offered until after the close of first round offers (3 January 2020).

You will be contacted by email to advise you if you have been offered a place or when the wait lists have officially closed.

You should make sure that you continue your enrolment process for an alternative programme of study.

You are welcome to contact us again via this email thread after the first week of January, for a better approximation of where you are on the waitlist.

Kind regards
Charlotte"

In my initial email I asked them about my position on the waitlist, how many students are offered a position on the waitlist for my pathway (rural), and when we could expect potential second round offers. From the limited information she responded with, I doubt we'll be able to find out much more until after the 3rd of Jan when everyone has either accepted/declined their offers for med or a position on the waitlist. Hope this helps clarify :)

Can anyone tell me how I get to know if I am on waitinglist? I am getting nothing from evision or email? I applied for med, dent, and pharmacy.

Damn got waitlisted with 87.29% avg. Do you guys think it is still possible to get in with that grade for med? Or should I just accept pharmacy now?

I'll do that tomorrow otherwise I won't have anything to study next year! I heard pharmacy is all goods.

Yeah sure. Take your time as this is a pretty big decision to make. If you really want med I say go for it via graduate entry but if you're not too fussed then yeah
