Rural! That's odd though because I also know some friends who got waitlisted to med with 84% average (the lowest I know of).
Definitely hang in there. I'm rural too, and my average was 87.57% (& waitlisted). Someone just posted in the other thread that they got a first round offer through rural with exactly an 88% average, so definitely not worth giving up hope yet!

Hi,
Does anyone know about the blood borne disease situation? My mum has hepatitis b which means that I might have it too (need to get this checked), I got into dentistry but was wondering whether they would decline me if I did have it?

You might want to get yourself checked asap then sending them the results before thinking of the "what ifs". Not to alarm you in anyway but from my dentistry friends, dent seems to be harsher with these sort of stuff than med is.

Regardless, get tested first then talk to them.

They won't decline you if you have it.

But because you've gotten into a training program for a surgical career, it's important for them to know. That way, you can take extra precautions to reduce the risk of transmission and get patients tested if there's ever any accidental body fluids transmission.

But yes, you do need to get tested. If it's anything like medicine, there'll be a battery of other things you need to prove immune status for.

Hi everyone, Is anyone willing to share their lecture slides with me for the prescribed health science courses? Thank you!

There's no set amount of seats and varies every year so the answer will be no.
Agreed that the answer is no but there is a set number of seats: they can't exceed 300 (total, from all categories) because the Colqhuoun lecture theatre only caters to 300 people. At least, that's what they said at the start of 2018.

Does anyone have a rough idea about the number of people that get into dent through the waiting list? I have an 89.71 average and I want to know if I have a chance. Thank yall and enjoy your break🤗

Hey man! Depends on the cutoff which I think is similar to last year 91ish%? Don't lose hope man it is very possible!

I'd be surprised if anything comes out before Monday - if the admissions office is anything like most businesses, they won't be open until Monday :)
