International Students: General Medicine Entry

I'm an international student for Aus currently studying NCEA in NZ. because I heard the offers for the international applicants come out earlier but my NCEA results come out in the January on the year after my exams. So does that mean that the university will give me conditional offer or would they give me an offer on January??
Depends on the uni. Some unis give out conditional offers until results come out (like some of the ones in NSW), whilst others don't. For instance, I don't believe Monash sends out conditional offers; only final offers once they have ALL of your results.

yeah most likely do interview first and some QLD unis send out offers real early based on predicted grade/ atar

i only did isat and got only 170 so mainly utas. so your condition is only your secondary education certificate?. Did you get other offers?
thats a good score congrats! and yeah since im onshore I need to wait for UAC etc to find out more haha.

Have you finish high school and got certificate?

Thx bro. Actually i am doing my bachelor degree now. also my gpa is not really high. btw can you let me know your ATAR? Did you apply with your isat score only or both? I think mine is too low to get an offer.

Nah I think you'll get one, hold out hope :) and i just put both isat and ucat i didnt really know which one they preferred. Also if you wanna know more stats, drop ur discord @ or sum and i can tell u there hehe

Do any international students who will be starting year 1 at UTAS in 2023 want to connect?
Definitely ! Would you mind providing your social networks or perhaps private message me (dk how it works tho)

Heyy, I am still waiting for the outcome from UTAS. DO you mind if you share your isat score to me? many thanks
I got 173 for my ISAT but the percentile of my QR was lower than the minimum so I used my UCAT which was like 2740 I believe

have u got other med school offer? ur atar must be really high
Tbh dont really know how it works but I did a Foundation course in Monash and ended up with a 94 (not ATAR) and got into Flinders, interview offers in Monash and UNSW (declined it for UTAS though) and a Bachelor of Science offer at ANU

i see. Congrats! i believe foundation score 94 is extremely high. I did foundation program as well but not monash

I am still waiting for the outcome. Hopefully i can get it...
I can attest that their admissions process is quite the nightmare, but I think your scores should be more than sufficient to get in, provided that both the components of your ISAT are >50%. I'm pretty sure their offers are heavily based on ATAR as well so provided that this is the case, you should get in. Wish you all the best ! Patience is key, and dont forget to lmk once you get in !

Also, if you've been waiting for long, and is applying using an agent, it wouldnt be a bad idea (at least worth the try) for you to ask them to ask the UTAS reps to speed up your admissions process.
