Last year a NSW 99.55 94%ile was borderline. We don't know the ATAR/UMAT weighting Monash applies for interview offers, if more weight to ATAR you should make it, if 50/50 I'd say you are around borderline too.

hi I just rang Monash to check I was still on their radar after reading all the posts. Am interstater from NSW. A lot of people must have been ringing- the lady asked straight off if I had heard of interstaters getting offers from a forum. She said no interstate offers had been released and wouldn't give any more details, just to wait for the email.
Another for the stats: friend (domestic, Victorian, completed IB May 2016, already enrolled in UK Uni doing medical science) got an offer from Monash 2 days ago for coming Monday. His IB score 39 (ATAR 97.60), UMAT 80 percentile

Domestic student, NSW. Selected BMP.
I got an interview at UNSW in Nov as my predicted was 99.95. How well would I have to have done at the interview to get an offer now?

And chances of getting interviews at Monash (borderline too like faysapprentice) & Flinders/ Adelaide?

interesting.... indeed the web site this year says

"Please note that we use the actual raw scores for the three test components, not the percentile rank. The minimum overall UMAT score required for selection is 150. There is no score minimum for the individual test components."

Well that is how it should have been, main round interviews only to Vic and DRL applicants. There were two offers to interstate posted on MSO, presumably by mistake as they were then withdrawn & changed to 2nd round.

I'm an IBDP graduate with a 99.85 ATAR and UMAT 82nd percentile. Waiting on an email from Monash today re MMI invite for Medicine direct entry, but I have heard nothing. A friend who also did the IBDP and scored 82 for UMAT and ATAR 99.7 received an email inivtation for MMI earlier today.

Seems odd that this person would get an interview invite and I wouldn't.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Congrats on your IB results! I did IB as well and got the same as you. You should be aware that a 44 converts to 99.95 in SATAC and this will give you a good chance at Flinders and possibly an interview offer from Adelaide (which weights ATAR relatively heavily). In regards to Monash, I think the UMAT might let you down as it is quite competitive and the edge is given to Victorian applicants. Best of luck though!

Are you aware of any special considerations that your friend is receiving. Also, are you both from Victoria?

UNSW gave a 99.95/86%ile about 50% chance. I'd say with 99.85/84%ile you'll need interview score maybe 70%ile+.

Relative to Fays' scores you look a little below borderline for Monash but we can't be sure, don't give up hope.

As someone already said, if converted to 99.95 by SATAC you should get Flinders. 99.85 should be good for Griffith too.
Don't know about Adel as they weigh ATAR/UMAT 66/33, makes it more difficult to estimate.

What about for 99.95/77th percentile(168) - what chance do you estimate I have at UNSW/Monash? What sort of interview percentile would I need?

For UNSW 77%ile is quite low (considering median for a place was 96%ile!) so I think you'll need interview score maybe 80%ile+

If you are interstate to Monash I'm not sure if you will even get an interview.
If Vic local, I'm reluctant to estimate now with Monash offering interviews all over the place

UNSW: Interview score better than ~40%ile, unbonded or bonded depends how much above 40%ile.
Monash: you should get an interview and by then better than 50/50 chance for a place, might even push it to 2 out of 3 chance.

Hmm, I was at first round Monash interviews on the 4th, and can confirm there was indeed at least one interstater (non DRL) there. o:

We are both from Victoria, however I think my friend had ERC stream as an option (this was not mentioned in the interview invite email).
