JMP JMP: General Entry Discussion

First 3 years are preclinical at UNE, but the last 2 are at any of the JMP clinical sites

Hi All, for the JMP if you begin at UNE do you stay there for the entire 5 years? Or do they move you half way through the degree to newcastle? Asking for a friend that is receiving very mixed answers, and just wanting to know now so that preferences can be changed before they get locked in. If it wasnt so urgent we would just call the uni. Cheers.

Yep, can confirm what Dotwingz has said. The clinical sites for 4 and 5 are quite spread out, too. I’ve seen it mentioned recently that all students are in Newcastle for 4 and 5, but that’s definitely not the case. I’m not sure how the clinical allocation works though. Presumably a preference/application based system.

I know last year many people who got in were able to log into myhub before officially getting the offer, has anyone tried that this year?

This would be your login if you get one... I've never seen someone report one earlier than the night before... so you might be able to try it but I doubt it will work

i tried and i don't have an offer, guess i'm not getting into jmp this year? 😳😳😳

If you cant log in it means youve been blacklisted permanently from ever attending any medical school. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Although if you fancy Samoa, I know they have a Corporation there that will let you pretend like you're in medical school. They will still take you (in fact, they will take anyone really)

Hey guys, a bit confused here. So the email sent by JMP stated interstate non-rural interviews are held on 21-22 Jan while the website (Key dates) states its Jan 20-21? What do you guys think?
