Yes I think so too , SATAC have somehow messed up my application..To be "stitched up" means to have been stuffed around or have had something bad happen to you that you don't deserve...I don't know how to explain it...
How so?SATAC have somehow messed up my application..
Out of curiosity, has anyone reporting a BMP tertiary spot at Adelaide this year been upgraded? Or, indeed, have any tertiary spots received a CSP at all?
Interesting that my first round BMP has not, whilst there are reports of 2nd round BMP offers getting upgraded today (3rd round), and 2nd round offers receiving CSPs.
Maybe this has something to do with the guidelines changing this year giving a seperate sub-quota to Adel uni students?
Looks like my GCE A levels was not assessed in time for 2nd round offer and places were filled in 1st round...How so?
Have you been in contact with SATAC to confirm this or do you just suspect it?Looks like my GCE A levels was not assessed in time for 2nd round offer and places were filled in 1st round...
It could also be because they are BMP students ranked higher than you did. So you would have moved up some spots but still could have been in the BMP range.
I understand that, but what I'm mainly referring to are people who received 2nd round BMP places being upgraded in the 3rd. Would it not follow that a 1st round BMP would be upgraded before second?
Again, I'm by no means complaining, just curious as to how Adelaide are going about things this year. I'm quite looking forward to the experience of serving in a rural setting.

As someone who received a second round BMP and was upgraded in the 3rd, I can confirm that the only two preferences I've ever had in SATAC are for UAdel med (unbonded and bonded respective). I'm also fairly certain that my ATAR was known at the time of the first offer round (I was a 2018 school leaver from QLD and I called SATAC over a week before the first offer round to confirm that my UES bonus had been applied). I can't think of any reason that I wouldn't have been considered in the first offer round, which suggests to me that tertiary transfers are in a separate pool and sub-quota to school-leaver applicants. I thought we’d already confirmed that they are a seperate pool quite a while ago? I feel like I read this info on the UAdel website. Let me check, I could be getting Unis mixed up.
ETA: found it! “It states - Higher education 'At least 20 places in the MBBS are reserved for students who come through the Higher Education Pathway. A minimum of 10 places from the Higher Education quote will be allocated to applicants from the Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Advanced)'”
Course Type: Medicine
Offer Received: No
University: UAdel
UMAT: 74th%
ATAR or GPA: 6.41 (I think; I'm doing concurrent degrees and I don't know how they calculate it)
Special Considerations: No
Offer Type: n/a
Other Information: Tertiary transfer. My current preferences are #1 CSP and #2 BMP. If I were to change my first to BMP would that negatively affect my chances at possibly receiving a late offer? I've missed out on one in each of the 3 rounds so far and I realise my chances are very, very slim.
Course Type: Medicine
Offer Received: Yes
University: UAdel
UMAT: 96th%
ATAR or GPA: 99.6
Special Considerations: no
Offer Type: Bonded
Other Information: Gap year. Received 3rd offer round. Have another offer at Curtin, but most likely going to take Uadel since I live in Adelaide.
Thank you for all the inputs and guides on here, they really helped encourage and prepare me for umat and interviews!
I've read up on the "guide to choosing between multiple offers" by Mana, and understand that Curtin's 5 year course is more favourable than a 6-year course (plus being bonded for me), so I'm still a little on the fence for which one to commit to. LBoG's guide to BMP helped, but having a bonded offer doesn't seem too bad, especially if I do the RoS right after completing the degree. Am I missing something else with the BMP scheme though?
