I honestly don’t think that’s accurate. UAdel interview ~800 and they have the most for undergrad, from memory.
ETA: Universities are well known for exaggerating numbers in promo material like that because it makes them sound more desirable and their successful candidates more ‘special’. For example, the unis that say ‘4000 applicants for medicine’ in their promo material but fail to mention a HUGE portion of those will never be close to being eligible, let alone getting an interview (and even moreso an offer). It’s a meaningless number, but gets flaunted in promo material a lot.
