Otago Halls of Residence

My preferences were Arana, Cumberland, Unicol in that order... But I got an offer from Aquinas wtf (excuse the crude yet censored language) . So I'm guessing Unicol rejected me:cry:, I didn't think it was even possible:huh:. Oh well, I guess I got the worst possible one. Anyone know anything about this place? I'm not really keen on it.

The actual place is quite nice, good view. The only downside is the distance, other than that it's a decent place to live.

What did you apply for? There must be something wrong because with your achievements I can't think of anyway you could end up on the waiting list.

I've just got the email from Knox saying I was accepted. Guess I'll see you there next year then (y)

Congratulations to everyone who gets the hall they wanted!

For the others, remember that the hall you get into won't dictate if you make med/dent/whatever and will generally have very little to do with how well you go. You'll make friends in your hall and in other halls regardless of what happens. It's not the end of the world!

You shouldn't have put St Margarets in second, they only take first choicer, but I'm surprised Studholme rejected you. Seems like the system changed this year, even Unicol rejects people. But don't worry, many people get into great Halls while they are on waiting list. Good luck.
