Yeah, lower than I expected, lame..
Wow me too! Like I failed a paper in "Turkish" and then my grades had smiley faces and stars instead of letters. And then one where the UMAT was an obstacle course... I need to see a doctor.
Results always come out unconfirmed first. And unconfirmed really means unconfirmed, our BIOC marks last year got switched round quite massively, as did the HEAL marks a few years ago.
Hope everyone gets the marks they were after!

If your marks look more or less like what you expected them to, then I wouldn't worry about the 'unconfirmed' all that much.
And they'll come out tomorrow or Monday, have to be confirmed by 5pm Monday.
Unconfirmed is standard. It just means that they're waiting on someone to double-check that the marks have been inputted into PIMS correctly.
Chances are if your marks were going to change that would be obvious by now - like, there'd be reports of students expecting A to A+ getting <70%. Unless you're exceptionally surprised by your result, don't expect it to change.

I really agree with this, in chem I felt in knew *most* of the exam spot on and the rest I felt I was able to reason out pretty well (aka expect a few marks but shouldn't lose 100% type of thing). It's just really strange how apparently a good 30% of the class apparently knew more than that haha.. Doesn't seem right to me..
There seem to be a number of cases of some odd-sounding marks floating around (I've heard of a few from outside of MSO as well).
Which leaves three possibilities:
1) People just didn't do as well as they'd hoped (unfortunately entirely possible).
2) They've made some really harsh calls with marking/the exams have been a bit harder than previous years.
3) They fudged up putting the marks onto PIMS.
Personally, I think it's more likely to be a mixture of 1 and 2, but 3 has happened before, so if your 'unconfirmed' marks seem really really wrong, it is possible that they're wrong.
If marks get confirmed, and you're still confused as to why you've gotten the mark you have, I'd advise going in and having a look at your script at the start of next semester (unlikely to change anything from there, but you'd get answers as to why your marks weren't what you were hoping for).
Hope everyone is happy (enough!) with their marks, and good luck for CELS whenever it comes out. Don't get too disappointed (and certainly don't give up!) if your marks weren't what you were hoping for, there's always MAOR102 to compensate!

to be honest i dont really trust their marking after all the mistakes that have been done so far, and want to know officially how many marks i in lost in the last exams
