Was scrolling through the UCAT score discussion from last year and noticed that some people subtracted 20 from their overall score. Why is that?

Oh wow. I don't think I'll last that long lol. Thanks thoI know of one student who didn't check her UMAT score at all. Her thinking was if it's good enough she will know when she receives interview invites. Turned out she didn't receive any.

GENERAL THOUGHTS: I am not gonna comment too much on this. Everything ran smoothly at the boxhill test centre where I did my test. We were seated for about 20 minutes and then called up for a photo and security check. We then waited for a invigilator to take us to a room where the computers were.
After AR, I felt I had to completely bombed out the test and basically was in a really shitty mood (pardon my language) for SJT -> Explains this the horrific score lol. I felt my AR sub-test was quite challenging and not as simple as other people describe it to be. Maybe I just got unlucky with my sub-test but I am not a man to whinge! Take it how it is!
VR:
I have no clue how I got 610. VR is my worst section and I thought I would get below 600. I was however very calm during this section and started off really well (in terms of time). I think this really helped. With that said, I did run out of time towards the end so had to guess a couple questions. Not sure about the difficulty but it was pretty much on par with the official resources.
If anyone is wondering, I did read the question before the passage.
DM: WOW! I am extremely happy with this score. DM is not my best sub-test. It is really "on the day" sorta thing for me. However, I managed to get through the entire section and have some time left over which is rare. The 5 drag and drop syllogisms were fairly straightforward, however the logic puzzles were very WEIRD to say the least. Can't say too much in detail though. Otherwise, the probability and venn diagram questions were fairly straightforward.
QR: I have always been a maths guy. However, during the sub-test I couldn't figure out like 3-4 questions. I guessed them and I think I actually got them right lol (only way that explains this score). There was a lot of graphs and tables but I managed to 'skim' it and finish the questions fairly quickly. The official resources are NOT indicative of the difficulty of QR (as said multiple times before). Practice the numpad. Get fast. Get efficient. With those things in place, I believe anyone can get 850+ regardless of their maths abilities.
AR: I don't have much to say here. This is a very disappointing score for me. Not figuring out 2 patterns (10 questions) made me very stressed out as I thought it was over. I did all this practice for nothing. But somehow I didn't get below 700 which is VERY surprising. Official resources were not indicative of the real AR. The real one was much much harder for me personally. Practice SCANS and do it quickly. Most patterns were definitely just SCANS apart from a couple (which again I can't talk about in detail lol).
OVERALL, not bad. I am definitely not the happiest person right now, but what has happened has happened. I think this is a pretty borderline score so I hope I score at least a couple interviews
THANKS FOR READING AND FOLLOWING DA JOURNEY HOMIEZ!
