Poor chance of dental interview:
UQ (I just maintain that UQ will only take the cream of the crop ATAR + UCAT. Last years results indicate a final score of 3400 - 3600 inc. SJT was required)
UoA (very, very supposedly the cut-off was 3120 UCAT last year, but there were definitely a 2970 and 3090 in the data from last year, soooo give it a go. I wouldn't be surprised if you got an interview with them)
La Trobe (lowest ATAR with adjustment was 99.75 last year - again, give it a go. You've got the UCAT score to be competitive in most schools)

Better shot:
CSU (most offers a internal students, but they do take non-CSU students too)
Giffith (remember that the final 2 years have the equivalent cost of a house deposit and goes up every year)

Unsure:
JCU (depends on your written application) there is no interview though
Thanks for your reply. Has applied for CSU and JCU dent but not sure what to put down for the last QTAC preference. What are the requirements for JCU med, Uni SQ med, CQU and Uni SC? Any EAS consideration?
What about Med in NSW like UNSW and Notre Dame and other states?

The 3100 UCAT is quite below the cutoff from last year for interstate for UQ, CQU and USQ med

Hi, I was admitted to a hospital on the Sunday before my HSC Trial and had to reschedule some of my tests. Also my writing hand was injured and I had to take some tests writing using my other hand. So this had affected my trial results. Does this count as a valid cause to apply for EAS? Or only disruption to the actual HSC counts?

might as well apply anyway

With EAS, do I apply for each selection body (ie. UAC, VTAC) or directly to the uni?
For uni-specific schemes like Monash Guarantee you'd apply directly to Monash unless it's automatically recognised.

The rest are TAC-level schemes so you apply to the TACs if required to. Also check in your UAC/VTAC applications there should be instructions what you need to do.

To apply for Monash Guarantee, you just need to submit a vtac application with your uni preferences. Then, lodge a SEAS application and include and any required documentation.

Hi,
My Total UCAT: 2790
SJ: 673
Predicted ATAR: 99.0 - 99.8
Rural: no
State: QLD

My preferences currently are:
griffith goldcoast med
uni of southern queensland (under griffith) med
UQ bonded med (should i do greater brisbane which is closer to my home or will i have a greater chance when applying to bundagerb or rockhampton)
JCU Cairns med
JCU Townsville med
JCU dentistry

Will get any interviews/straight offers? More interested in Med and open to interstate. What are your opinions on my preferences, should I add another UQ bonded like rockhampton instead of JCU dentistry or keep JCU dentistry? Should UQ bonded be preferenced higher? I'm very confused! Your opinions will be much appreciated.
Griffith and USQ will depend on how close to that 99.8 ATAR you get. Impossible to comment on likelihood of a direct offer because 99.8 = yes, 99.0 = definitely not.

Unfortunately your UCAT isn’t likely to be enough for UQ. Greater QLD requirement was over 3000 last year and likely to increase slightly. Not sure what the requirements were for Rocky and Bundaberg. Someone else may be able to weigh in.

If others think your UCAT is potentially enough for Rocky and Bundaberg Med then swap out UQ Brisbane and JCU Dent for those two (bonded to improve your odds).

Preference in order of your actual Wishlist. If you’re not eligible for a higher option, you’ll get the lower one you are eligible for by default.

Adding to DrLMG's reply - did you mean USQ or USC(under Griffith)?

I second the suggestion that 2790 doesn't look likely for UQ. You should use the pref slot for one of CQU.

Hi!
I have a ucat score of 3160 with a 780 VR score. This means my weighted WSU score is 786. I have an SJT of 668.

I got a 4th quartile Casper but I know that WA (and frankly other interstate options) are looking unlikely. I am based in NSW and am GWS. I am neither indigenous nor rural.

I also have UES, EAS and SEAS along with an atar of 98.9.

What do my interview chances look like please!

98.9 + UES = 99.95, your UCAT+SJT looks very promising for Flinders place offer.

If you have Math C equiv or LOTE to bring your ATAR to 99+ and meet the Chem prereq, UCAT+SJT 3828 should be enough for UQ Dent.
(oops correction ... I didn't realise you are gap yearer so may not get the boost to 99+).

WSU-weighted 786 shoud get GWS interview.
With EAS UNSW interview is possible, not without EAS.
JMP is wait & see.
I don't know how SEAS works for Monash interstate, neither for Curtin. But looks like you already have enough opportunities there, best of luck.

Hey guys!

I just wanted to ask about Charles Sturt dentistry and their requirements as I can't seem to find too much information about them. Maybe i'm not looking in the right places. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

You're right. You're in the wrong place. Try:

To be fair...it's probably still going to be me who answers, so ask away.

Hi, I have received the below scores.
VR: 690
DM: 800
QR: 880
AR: 780
Total: 3150
SJ: 600
Predicted/Actual ATAR/GPA: 99.0
Rural: (yes/no and rural ranking if known/applicable): no
State: NSW
Other Special Considerations: (inc. GWS, EAS, indigenous pathway, Broadway, Monash Guarantee, etc): GWS

Could you please advise QLD universities preference order (bonded and unbonded)?
They have separate codes for bonded and unbonded. UQ, CQU, USQ, JC etc

Hi,

Just tyring to help a friend here.

Total UCAT: 3030
SJ: 590
Predicted ATAR: 99.0 - 99.3
Rural: No
State: SA - School Leaver
No EAS but might qualify for LOTE

Current QTAC preferences:
JCU Townsville med
JCU Carins med
JCU dentistry
Griffith Dent
USQ Toowoomba Med (non bonded)
USQ Toowoomba Med (bonded)

What was the UCAT interview invite cutoff for interstate non rural for CQU and USQ med last year? Similar to UQ - 3200+?
BTW - happy to try Rocky and Bundy - even bonded only.
She is below the UQ Dent cutoff (approx 3680) for last year - her score is 3620 (including SJ). Take a gamble on UQ Dent?

Thank you in advance for your input/help.

As politely as I can possibly be, what are her plans if she doesn't pass any of the interviewers? Her preferences have indicated that she doesn't have a back-up plan in her home state at the moment.
QLD is not their home state.

It says they are from SA in which case it applying for Adelaide med/dent is the most likeliest option I can see.
