Asking this for my friend who wishes to study Midwifery at Queensland University. She is an International Student studying the NCEA system at an NZ high school. Does she only have to apply through the University website or does she have to apply through QTAC as well if she studies NCEA?

Thanks!

She will have to apply through QTAC, yes :)

The two attachments below seem to be conflicting?

She would apply through QTAC if she's a NZ citizen, or an international student currently doing Y12 in Aus.
All other int'l students apply directly to UQ or through a UQ agent in their country.

Wait so she doesn't need to apply through QTAC even if she studies NCEA and is International? Thanks:)

NZ citizens are generally considered as "domestic" applicants in Australia, so usually they apply in the same way any other Aus citizens do, even if they are doing NCEA.

FYI: You can use the "Edit" function in the bottom left of your posts if you wish to add something, rather than double/triple posting. This helps reduce forum clutter and helps people answer your questions more easily!

This is in the UQ webpage for B Midwifery - Int'l student
> Bachelor of Midwifery - Future Students - University of Queensland
Apply now to QTAC
Your senior schooling is from Australia
Submit your application to the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) if you are an international student who is currently:
  • completing Australian year 12 (either in Australia or offshore), or
  • studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Australia.
Apply now to UQ
All other international applicants
If you’re not currently studying Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia, submit your application directly to UQ using our online application form or through an approved UQ agent in your country.

NZ citizen students doing NCEA are considered as domestic applicants in Aus, thus QTAC. But it's not clear about int'l students in NZ doing NCEA.

To be 100% sure, it's best to ring up QTAC (and UQ if you have time) to clarify this (sometimes websites can be outdated).
However, the first paragraph from your second image seems to indicate that she should apply through QTAC as she is studying NCEA, even though she may not be a NZ citizen.

HEY GUYS!!!!
DO WE NEED TO DO MANDATORY COMPLIANCE FOR MONASH UNI????

VTAC: Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre
IT SAYS ITS COMPULSARY???
HELPPPPPP
I believe you need to do compliance after you get an offer. It is a requirement at every university to be clinically compliant. You usually don't even have to do it until at least after interviews (it's a good idea to get it done quickly so that if you do receive an offer there is no panic to get all of it done).

Is it actually possible to choose to do the Melbourne interview before you accept the offer instead of in third year??? I thought it had to be third year but this thread confused me...

If I recall correctly, it got changed so that now you can't sit it before accepting your offer. You have to sit it in third year instead. Hopefully Perplex can confirm.

Just wondering - as a non-standard, do I need to upload any details to UAC (regarding transcripts etc). I am 99% sure I don't, but just want to double check :)
