I stuffed my calculation up in my earlier post for the WSU formula. Could someone tell my chances for WSU with 742.6? (non rural interstate)?
Very good
Excellent, in fact, barring huge changes in their formula.

I think Monash confirmed that there was miscommunication surrounding SJT, it'll only be used as a tiebreaker this year. You'll be gucciThis is assuming SJT doesn't really count right?

Med: should get interviews at most if not all UCAT unis, WSU will be borderline. I'd expect a place offer at UTAS too but this depends on your rurality ranking.Applying for: Medicine and Dentistry

JCU: definitely worth an application
UNSW: possibly (would depend on rural status)
JMP: interview
JPM: borderline given the extra rural places, the requirement might drop a smidge
USyd: no
Monash: difficult to say (rural)
UMelb: no
UTAS: worth an application, especially if you’re RA3+
UAdel: interview
Flinders: would need big UES boost
Curtin: would depend on rural status
UWA: no
good luck!!
ETA: just an FYI that rural status isn’t measured the same at all unis. JMP, UTAS, JPM, etc use RA2+, but Curtin and UNSW in particular use a different method. Best check how you rank by looking at their website for more info.

Med: JMP is your best hope but still probably unlikely. UNSW/WSU are out unfortunately. You should also apply at JCU and this will depend on the written application.Applying for: Medicine and Dentistry

Med: expect interviews at Adel, JMP, UQ, UWA if you reach 99 ATAR, Curtin maybe, UNSW maybe if your ATAR is a fair bit higher but not if it's 99 flat, WSU probably. JCU depends on written app. The other unis are unlikely due to your ATAR. Good luck!Applying for: Medicine and Dentistry

Specific Question: Hi, this might belong to another forum but I want to ask about some ways to prepare for interviews and know the question types better without paying too much? I don't have the money to go to prep courses and sit through a mock interview, but any websites or free resources would be really helpful. The only thing I am using now is MSO and the interview portal.
Thank you!
You'll definitely get an Adelaide interview. Flinders you'll want at least a 99.90 but probably need 99.95 ATAR - so depends on what the UES lifts your ATAR to if you're eligible. All other UCAT unis are looking good for an interview except for UNSW, WSU and Monash. Griffith no unless your ATAR is 99.6+, UTAS likely no. Good luckApplying for: Medicine

If you get 99+ raw ATAR as predicted, UES will be more than enough to land you the Flinders offer

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're most likely going to need an ATAR/adjusted selection rank of 99.95 for Flinders. One of my friends missed out on a Flinders offer with a 99.90 ATAR and 3240 UCAT score last year (equivalent to 3360 this year), while my friend with the same ATAR but 3410 UCAT score (3550 equiv.) got one. That says to me that the UCAT cutoff for 99.90 ATAR students is somewhere in the 3300-3500 range. With the increased number of applicants adversely affected by COVID applying for equity schemes this year, it may well be the case that 99.90 won't get an offer at all, regardless of how high your UCAT score is.You'll definitely get an Adelaide interview. Good luck![]()
