With your ATAR and UCAT scores, interstate Monash is not entirely out of the picture. I predict a 50/50 chance you get an interview come January.

Interviews everywhere I'd imagine! And a 96th should surely land you a first round interview at Monash, I'd be very surprised if it didn't. And a place offer is assured at Griffith/UniMelb/Flinders if you want them. Nice job on the amazing scores.

Yes for interviews everywhere that has them (except USyd, and JCU is an unknown). Great scores, well done! Offer at Griffith at a minimum.

Griffith: unlikely
UQ: interview (if they’re accepting gap year students, though I don’t think they have in the past- not sure how re-doing a subject works for them, tbh)
Bond: psychometric test
JCU: hard to predict
UNSW: borderline interview
USyd: E12 only
JMP: interview
JPM: unlikely
Monash: interview
UMelb: FFP only
UTAS: unlikely
UAdel: borderline interview Med, likely interview Dent
Curtin: interview
UWA: interview

Thanks sm

You’d have scraped one for 2020 entry but they’ve changed their methods for 2021 and SA students will be fairly heavily preferenced. It’s a little hard to predict how that will affect interstate applicants, but will likely drive the UCAT requirement up a bit, which could see you miss out. It’s a touch and go one. Sorry I can’t be more definitive.

Cheers

95.5 is actual, if you get an interview invite based on UCAT scores you can by all means attend it, but when it comes to January, WSU will go down the list of interviewees and cross out anyone who didn't make the 95.5 ATAR cutoff, making them ineligible for a final place offer. 724 may be a little though if we retain WSU's section weightings from last year, but fingers crossed things work out well for you.

JMP should net you an interview, and provided you get an ATAR that is at least equal to or greater than your predicted, you'll be in the running for a place offer.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear you'll be very competitive at any other Australian unis as they do place a high weighting on ATAR :(

Both JMP and JPM will use your actual ATAR to determine offer eligibility. This will come after interview invites.

You will likely get a JMP invite, and be eligible for an offer.

Your UCAT is very borderline for JPM based on last year, and you would then be ineligible for an offer anyway, unfortunately.

Your ATAR range makes this tricky, as there’s a huge difference between the two ends but here goes!

UQ: interview Med, yes Dent
Griffith: no Med and Dent
Bond: psychometric test
JCU: too hard to predict
UNSW: no unless 99.50 end
JMP: interview
JPM: no
CSU: hopefully
USyd: only E12 if 99.50
Monash: yes (as a local)
UTAS: no
UAdel: yes (Med and dent hopefully)
Flinders: no
Curtin: interview
UWA: interview if 99.00+ Med (unsure for Dent, sorry)

second year on the rounds here so I think I know my chances at an interview but after scanning the pages of the thread, I didn't see anything representing Adelaide transfer stuff.
- what are my chances?
- how do the changes to preferential treatment of SA applicants apply to transfer students and do they only affect interview invitation ratios or actual weighting of interview performance?
- can anyone direct me to more information on the change to SA heavy selection?
