UMAT 2010 thread.

I got into Otago med with an overall UMAT of 34th percentile and a grade average of 94%.

Was your section 3 the lowest, cos i think Otago weights the three sections with a ratio of 9:9:2.

Nah my 2nd section was lowest, less than 25th percentile I think. But they weight it 45% for the first 2sections and 10% for the 3rd

EDIT: You're aiming for a UMAT overall of 90? I assume you mean 90th percentile, cos overall 90 = aggregate 270. Out of UTas's 1081 interstate applicants, the top applicant had a UMAT aggregate of 237.

That would be quite epic

Quick question, (hope this isn't out of place in this thread) is it true that undergrad med at UWA is going in 2012? And if so, does that mean that there's no point in sitting umat 2011? ie. you'll have to go postgrad.

Yea but if your sitting UMAT 2010 doesn't that mean you'll be applying for med 2011? So you should get in before they stop. Don't think about re-sitting it if you don't do well, give this UMAT your best. (yy)

Yeah it does, I was just wondering if I'd have the option of resitting UMAT if...well, it didn't go so well :cry:
