Question/s: Which unis do I have a chance to get an interview?
JMP is your best shot here by a long shot.

What UMAT is Monash looking for? I know someone who got 98 ATAR and 92nd percentile last year who got an offer there.

That's the kind of information we base a lot of predictions on here at MSO (in addition to information produced by the unis themselves), so if you know someone with those scores from last year, and assuming there are no huge changes this year and no huge differences between you and the person you know (ie. rural status), then you can probably consider yourself competitive for Monash, too.

Overall UMAT Score: 189
Section One: 63
Section Two: 60
Section Three: 66
Overall Percentile Rank: 96
Estimated ATAR/GPA: ATAR of 98+ (obviously not sure yet)
Preferred University: Monash but I'm happy to go anywhere in Australia
Course Type: both
Application type: school leaver
State: Vic
Rural: no
ATSI: no
GWS: no
Other Bonuses: yes
SEAS (medical condition + financial hardship- Family Tax Benefit A)
LOTE + Specialist (Maths C) - I think this only matters for UQ, right?

Questions:
Will the medical condition prevent me from getting an interview?
If my predicted ATAR doesn't land me an interview at the unis which need predicted ATAR + UMAT, but my actual ATAR is higher, can I still get an interview? In other words, are there unis who base their interviews only off predicted ATAR + UMAT and never look at your actual ATAR if your predicted ATAR is too low?

No, it shouldn't. I think there are some requirements re. medical fitness to practice that may need to be considered for AHPRA registration, but that involves us asking your medical history and we're not going to do that, so you might want to follow it up yourself. As for predicted ATAR, there will be second (and third) round interview invites that cover students whose actual ATARs are higher than their predicted ATARs. You do not have to worry about this being a disadvantage to you.

No, a medical condition will not. If it affects your ability to practice medicine, they might counsel you as to your options however.

Yes you will get a second round provided you make their overall cutoff. There are no unis who give final offers on predicted ATARs - all will use actual ATAR.

Overall UMAT Score: 176
Section One: 64
Section Two: 55
Section Three: 55
Overall Percentile Rank: 86
ATAR/GPA: ~6.2 (unsure how they calculate unspecified credits, will definitely be above 5.8 worst case)
Preferred University: JMP
Course Type: Medicine
Application type: Non-Standard
State: NSW
Rural: no
ATSI: no
GWS: yes
Other Bonuses: no

Question/s: I'm primarily focused on grad entry start 2019 (my weighted GPA will be much higher), but I thought i'd try for WSU or JMP via the UMAT.

Thoughts on a potential JMP interview offer? Is it pretty much guaranteed if you're above the S1 cutoff? Even for non-standards? Do they then use GPA and/or S2 and/or S3 as a potential tiebreaker?

P.S. scores are from memory. I am 100% Sure on my S1 but perhaps my S3 was a point or two higher. I was ecstatic to see 61+ but I feel hesitant due to the GPA/my tendency for neurosis.

Congrats to everyone who got the scores they were looking for! I lurked a little bit prior to the UMAT, but I felt I joined much to late to get a decent result/benefit the conversation.

You'll get a JMP interview. Your GWS bonus miiiight get you over the line for UWS, but it would be a close run thing, and you'll probably fall just short.

Long story short yes, I'd expect an interview.

Non standards are in the same applicant pool at the JMP (whereas there are quotas in other schools) so no real difference here.

Thanks so much LMG! and Mana. I'll follow up on practicing with a medical condition :D

And I forgot to ask the most important question...which Australian unis can I apply for/ would I have a chance of getting an interview or an offer at?

My parents are also divorced (not sure if that makes a difference but I saw someone else above write that)

Definitely interviews at both. Congrats!

Estimated ATAR/GPA: 97.85ish (converting from NCEA in NZ)
Preferred University: Adelaide, Flinders, JMP.

Question/s:
Does anyone know my odds of getting an interview at Adelaide/ or a place at Flinders? (interview would be 2nd round I believe due to being in NZ)
Also; I really want to go to Aus but if the international fees go through I won't be able to and will be going to Otago. Does anyone know if getting a similar score to this will get me a spot at Otago provided I get A's (not A+'s lol) because I know they use a different weighting criteria and use raw scores?

You'll be relying heavily on your GWS status, and it might just get you over the line. Unfortunately, your S1 scores rules you out for JMP.
