Question/s: missed out last year on an interview at CSU with a umat of 87 but got into UQ dent, wasn't ready to move interstate so deferred so I could try again for CSU. Hoping I'm pretty much guaranteed this year as last year the cutoff was around 92, if anyone has interview tips please let me know :)

Overall UMAT Score: 181
Section One: 61
Section Two: 56
Section Three: 64
Overall Percentile Rank: 91
ATAR/GPA: Most recent estimate is 98.5 but I'm working my ass off to achieve mid 99's
Preferred University: UNSW

State: NSW
Rural: No
ATSI: No
GWS: No
Other Bonuses: No

Questions: Say I end up getting 99 ATAR, is there any chance of receiving a 2nd round offer at UNSW?

Yeah, if you can sort that ATAR out, then you're definitely in with a UNSW interview chance. Otherwise, also JMP.

And what are my chances for other universities, I dont mind moving interstate (JMP, JCU, Queensland, UNSW, WSU, Curtin, Adelaide etc...)

Likely interviews at UNSW, JMP, UWS (due to GWS). I'm not sure on UAdel, but definitely not first round. Possibly for Monash.

Edit by Mana: Definitely first round interview at Adelaide with that UMAT.
Edit by LMG!: apologies! A1's magic table suggests 100th%ile for first round Adelaide interview (for interstaters, presumably). So I'm a little confused :)

Unfortunately, probably too low for Monash (though I'm not sure what being a Vic local does for you). Unfortunately, without rural, you won't meet requirements for UWS or JMP. You'd need to push your ATAR up for UNSW. Unsure on Curtin and definitely not first round at Adelaide.

Overall UMAT Score: 199
Section One: 70
Section Two: 70
Section Three: 59
Overall Percentile Rank: 98th

Preferred University: UWA
Course Type: Medicine
Application type: School leaver
State: WA
Rural: No
ATSI: No
GWS: No
Other Bonuses: No

Question/s: What are my chances of getting into UWA/Curtin and what other unis do i have a chance for?

You'll need to pull your ATAR up much closer to 99.0 for UWA. You might be a chance for Curtin.

Likely interviews at UNSW, JMP, UWS (due to GWS). I'm not sure on UAdel, but definitely not first round. Possibly for Monash.

Edit by Mana: Definitely first round interview at Adelaide with that UMAT.
GWS was a typo, is there no chance for WSU since I'm not in that area?

Thank you so much for sharing.

Unlucky not to get a 99th percentile. 200 or 201 was probably the cutoff.

To clarify this re Adelaide first round offers and A1's table:

The 100% UMAT is not a percentile - it's a weighting.

As interview offers at Adelaide are released BEFORE ATARs are released, Adelaide offers interviews based on UMAT score ONLY (hence it's 100% UMAT weighting for first round interviews). However, for the second round interviews, the interview offers are sent to people based on their UMAT and ATAR as at that point both of them would be known and both of them are used in the final calculation.

The cutoffs vary but they are usually around the 178-182 mark raw score wise.

Edit: actually clocking out now, goodnight!

Question/s: Applying to UNSW, JMP, JCU, UTAS and WSU (though i don't think I'll get an interview). Any other unis that accept non-standards?

Would anyone be able to estimate my chances of getting a UNSW interview?

Hi guys~ Just wondering, what's the possibility of getting an interview/offer with a UMAT result as below? ( ATAR 99+)

Uni of Newcastle, UWS( apparently there is a difference in cut-off depending on GWS vs non-GWS??) or UNSW? or anywhere else?

Section 1: 52
Section 2: 56
Section 3: 48
Overall:157
62 percentile

Thanks heaps!!

As per Mana's reply in your other thread (now deleted):
As per the other thread, not with those scores at JMP or UWS.

If you get an ATAR of 99.9 or 99.95 Monash, UNSW, and Adelaide may give you an interview.

Of course, with a 99 ATAR you should also consider applying to JCU.
