A friend of mine with a 3030 ucat and a 99.95 received an invite (non-rural and non-EAS too) if that helps to figure things out.

This is what I'm thinking where the problem lies. It seems Y12s with reasonably high ATAR+UCAT are rejected but those with a GPA get selected even with a lower UCAT.Could it be because they might be non-standard applicants?
My EAS application wasn’t approved as my financial hardship was during uni not high school. And they said bonus points didn’t contribute towards UCAT anyway only ATAR. I’m guessing my HD average bumped me up to around the 98 mark. Trust me I’m in disbelief too. However, for the last few years I’ve heard of lots of people get in with lower scores that never post on forums (sample bias etc) so I thought worth posting todayAre you sure you didn't get any special considerations?
I think unlucky dude might have been asking about the ucat rather than atar???My EAS application wasn’t approved as my financial hardship was during uni not high school. Oh sorry!! No I didn’t get any considerations! Not rural eitherI think unlucky dude might have been asking about the ucat rather than atar???
Although i might be wrong
CONGRATS anyway mate!!!!
Definitely enquire. Did you put down all campuses as well?Hi guys, I graduated this year, got an ATAR of 99.5 and a UCKAT 97th percentile and I got declined an interview offer at UNSW.
Just comparing my results with what others have submitted here and I can see others have had scores below mine but still have been offered interviews. Something's not adding up and I am at a loss to explain why I may have been rejected for an interview.
Is there any reason why I may have been rejected from UNSW? Should I submit an enquiry?
Wait did you say UKCAT? I don’t believe Australian Universities accept the UK version that could be whyHi guys, I graduated this year, got an ATAR of 99.5 and a UCKAT 97th percentile and I got declined an interview offer at UNSW.

Speculation : The forgotten divide by 2 doesn't help your 2880 UCAT, it being lower than the hard UCAT cutoff.
Sorry mispelt it! I meant the UCAT - definitely the aussie version.Wait did you say UKCAT? I don’t believe Australian Universities accept the UK version that could be why
Please quote an example. What about year 12 students whom were rejected whom had higher combos than other year 12 students who were accepted?
Same here, have you tried calling/emailing?Hi guys, I graduated this year, got an ATAR of 99.5 and a UCKAT 97th percentile and I got declined an interview offer at UNSW.

You aren't the only one. My friend got 99.75 and a ucat of 3130 (97th percentile) and got rejectedSorry mispelt it! I meant the UCAT - definitely the aussie version.
How do you submit an enquiry?Hi guys, I graduated this year, got an ATAR of 99.5 and a UCKAT 97th percentile and I got declined an interview offer at UNSW.

I am sending them an email regarding it. Perhaps it is a system error? Not to sound entitled, but I honestly can't think of a reason why this has happened. I definitely think the more people who speak up and inquire about it the better.Same here, have you tried calling/emailing?
This is my friend, also a year 12 graduate, from earlier in this thread:Please quote an example.
I have a ATAR of 99.8 and UCAT of 97th percentile and I haven't received an offer for an interview, is this strange?
I am emailing [email protected]How do you submit an enquiry?
