[Undergrad] UTAS Entry 2015 - non-standard

It is terrible... Especially since in previous years it has been so much earlier!
I was hoping that I would get an offer before my interview for Newcastle also so I wouldn't have to pay for flights and accomodation there, but no luck... (n)
 
I think it was Anthony I spoke to last week - and he said we'll know in the next couple of weeks...But maybe this computer thing has just happened and they are having issues with it? Is that what it sounded like [MENTION=20686]Neens[/MENTION] ? I am kind of assuming if I get an offer it will be in Jan/Feb at 87% percentile...but will be good to know when first round comes out where the percentile is sitting at. I just feel like my life is on hold at the moment!!
 
I think that the computer thing has been ongoing - they have said they hoped to get offers out late October/early November, but that the computer system is very slow at getting out offers, and that offers have gone out for some courses, but last time I spoke to admissions, no offers for any of the Health faculty had yet gone out.
I completely understand the feeling of your life being on hold, I don't want to plan anything for the future until I know where I am studying next year!

Thanks [MENTION=20686]Neens[/MENTION] ! That seems like a massive delay then...even though last year offers came out only around now. Oh well, nothing to do but wait I suppose!

I'm hoping for an offer for next year too. Just wanted to say hi in case we end up meeting next year. Let's hope that happens! I'm a non-standard too :)

[MENTION=20949]Alley[/MENTION], are you currently part of the guaranteed med research? how is your umat?
 
[MENTION=9446]jsth[/MENTION] I am yes! I had an ATAR of 91.1 and a UMAT of 87 last year and was offered a place in Med Research. This year my UMAT is 97, and I'm over the 70% average so I'm hoping for a better chance!
 
[MENTION=20949]Alley[/MENTION] Wait you didn't get a spot with 87%? I hope you were standard entry interstate?

With 97% and above 70% WAM you're in pretty much...if you also have above 50-60-50...
 
[MENTION=20947]isaachose[/MENTION] the reason I didn't get offered a spot last year was because my ATAR was too low unfortunately, I was a Tasmanian school leaver though.
My scores are in the 60s for all the sections, so I'm more hopeful this year, but you never know what will happen.
 
Oh that's right - forgot about ATAR. Well best of luck for this year :) Probably shouldn't say you're in as I know anything can happen!

I think I need to ban myself from checking email/MSO at the moment - just can't wait to find out.
 
hey guys just thought i'd share what I knew

I just gave the school a call, and they said offers for non-standard interstate students would be released early january; that seems to contradict some of the estimated result release date that others have gotten. But I'm not sure about my situation either...
 
(my self imposed ban lasted long...)

Thanks @maidan123 ! I also called the school and they said there have definitely been delays with computer system etc. but non-standard interstate should be around the same time as Tassie applicants (school-leavers?) around 17th December. Then second round early Jan etc. etc. Time to chill out until Christmas I think!

edit: so could have just been different people answering the phones and we won't know who's correct. OR, the first person meant interstate school-leavers will be early jan.

Well hopefully its soon; theres so much pressure haha. I'm trying to tell myself I'm on vacation but its not setting in
 
In previous years some non-standard applicants have received offers from around the 5th of December.

@Ninj may be able to confirm this?
