UTAS UTAS Medicine: Entry Information and Discussion

You can attach additional documents in your actual application (all applicants, not just rural), including a CV, but there’s nowhere in the Med information pages that suggests this is used to determine a Med offer. So, up to you whether you include it, I guess.

Depends if you’re a school leaver or a non-standard applicant. If you’re a school leaver, then nope. If you’re a non-standard applicant, then yep!

School leaver here (well gap year but from my understanding I’m a school leaver). Good to hear it should be the same. Thanks LMG :)

Yep, you’ll be classed as a school leaver. Good luck. Make sure you do a rural application if you’re eligible.

Based on last year (and keep in mind, offers have come out a month earlier than last year so things are already different) then unfortunately, yes, the absolute vast majority of rural offers were made in one go at the start of December, this included non-standards and school leavers, local and interstate.

ETA: that said, the offers did come out over two days last year, though. So keep your fingers crossed.

Did u get the offer through email.?

The offers were sent via email, yes.

Isn’t the First round offers for interstate rural applicants in January ?
LMG can you help please

No, and this hasn't been the case for at least the past several years I've been following UTAS admissions. Local and interstate rural offers have come out at the same time in early December (and now early November).

Thanks a lot LMG
Do you think with UMAT raw score 167 with S1 54; S2 50; and S3 63 still get a chance for UTAS
State: QLD, RA2
Thanks

As a rural applicant, as long as you have a UMAT of 150, it then becomes irrelevant and is all down to your written application, so I really can't tell you what your chances are beyond confirming that you'd be at the very least eligible.

Hi LMG, is there any chance that further UTAS rural offers will be released. Could they possibly release them over the weekend or next week sometime? Thanks in advance.

I honestly have no idea, I wasn't even expecting them to release today. Last year they came out over two days (a Tues and a Wed, I think because I was at work when I got mine, or maybe Mon and Tues, either way, it was two days), but also about a month later and much earlier in the day, so there's no real pattern here to use for predicting, sorry.
