JPM WSU/CSU JPM: Interview Invite Discussion

i have a middle name as well, should I add that in? When i did the UQ one, they advised me to just use my first and last names, rather than including my middle name,,,, I'm probably stressed out over nothing lol
might as well include it :) i'm sure that in the registration time before your interview they'll tell you how they want it tho

another question! sorry, but how much time before the interview are we supposed to log into zoom? 30min? 5min?
i was wondering this too cus it doesnt say in the email - i asked some people and they said they logged in ~10-15 mins early and had no issues :)

I didn't include mine, they didn't say anything about it!

Is it much harder this year for interstate applicants to get an offer because they've seperated the interviewing time periods, and only give second offers to interstate students? (RA2, 820ish MSO score for WSU if i remember)

Odd question, but did anyone else get feedback from any of their interviewers? I did at 2 stations... and I’m about 99% sure they weren’t meant to do that right?

No. This is just a reversion to their regular practice. It was only 2020 entry where they were interviewed at the same time. WSU (JPM) are well versed in fair offer making over two offer rounds.

I was talking to some doctors who do graduate exams yesterday and randomly we were talking about this kind of thing. They said they both routinely provide generic positive feedback at the end of stations to help calm the nerves of the candidate. They say the same generic thing to all candidates. I wonder if it was something along those lines...

so my interviewer didn't love my story about volunteering at animal shelters? 🥺

It could be?! I wasn’t nervous for this one though (got all of my nerves out on the JMP interview), one was quite generic but the other interviewer was very lovely and chatty and told me how she marked me at the end...

What university interview was this?

when are second round offers announced for WSU?

First round offers haven’t even gone out yet. Interviews are still happening. First round will be first UAC round in Jan.

ETA: if you’re actually talking about interstate interview invites, then read back through the WSU/JPM threads. It’s only mentioned about 47522 times :)

I mean when is the actual second offer round, not interview invite. Is the dates released

Sorry if this was asked but when are 2nd round interstate interviews held? I know the JPM website says that they are still deciding but when have they normally been held the previous years? Thanks :)

Late January, usually. With offers in early Feb.

Adding to LMG! 's reply they have been around 20ish January. Thing to watch out is UNSW WSU JMP Monash were all within 2-3 days of each other. In my case I had UNSW on Friday, Monash next Tues which gave me the weekend to relocate to Melb. But then I would need to fly back to Sydney for WSU Wed & JMP Thursday (too rushed so I skipped these two). Maybe this year by ZOOM you won't have such problems.
