Is there a part of the JMP JPM application where you have to indicate whether or not you want to opt-in for a BMP?

I think you accidentally posted this on the wrong forum, unless it was a typo and you actually meant JPM

I meant if there is an option to select whether or not we can select to opt into a BMP (For WSU/CSU) because there is no option to do so on UAC (where it says indicate study preference).
Yeah, that's JPM, not JMP as per your post (hence MountainRange double checking). From memory, you just get offered whatever you're eligible for, and if you don't want the BMP (if you get one) you decline. Though I applied a few years ago now (and before the switch to JPM, so it might be different.

Damn, that was the first time I noticed that it was called JPM and not JMP.
JPM = Joint Program in Medicine = WSU/CSU
JMP = Joint Medical Program = UoN/UNE
Feel free to eye roll with the rest of us now that you know that!!

Hi all. What is the ratio approx for CSU interviews to offers? Ie being a rural student in NSW living in the area and wanting to know my chances and competition haha because I am stressed lol
We don’t have confirmation but assuming the ratio has remained the same from WSU days, it’s 1 place for every 3 people interviewed.

Just double-checking that WSU/CSU assigns BMP's, and we don't have to check it off as a preference somewhere?
JPM assigns BMPs like every medical school in Australia (excluding bond as only FFP). If I remember correctly bottom 28.5% of offers released are BMPS. As far as I am aware there was no seperate checkbox for BMPs however I could be wrong.
Yeah there's no separate checklist for BMP at WSU, they just allocate them on the basis of the iinterview/UCAT scores.
If you get a WSU offer, it will list it as CSP or BMP in the UAC email in January.

I've got a unique opportunity where I have free accommodation and living expenses available to me in Waterloo, Sydney. I'm currently halfway through Year 3 of MBChB at University of Auckland. I have been looking into if such a thing as 'transferring' med schools is possible, and came across this link - MD Transfer Request | Western Sydney University
My academic standing is pretty average because I've somehow managed to work full time throughout uni so far, with the aim to pass and get through these pre-clinical years.
Has anyone ever done this? Could I transfer from Year 4 here to Year 4 there before it starts? Is WSU the only place that does this?

Transferring Between Medical Schools
Hi. I got into JCU this year which I'm happy about but ideally I'd like to try apply after 1 year to get into some medical school's closer to home (NSW) as I really would prefer to intern in my home state. I didn't apply to any of the NSW uni's last year because of my poor-ish UMAT of 75th...

Transfers are for extenuating circumstances and are approved incredible rarely.
To be fair to the OP i just realised UNSW says extenuating circumstances but the WSU webpage doesn't, makes it look like an available pathway.
However WSU does say subject to current student load. They normally fill up the Year1 intake to the allowed quota (no reason not to) + extras to cater for attrition & dropouts. That means external-transfer places are only available when attrition/dropouts exceed their anticipation.
Years ago I tried to transfer from University of Auckland Medicine to UNSW after the 1st year as my family had moved to Sydney. I was declined.
In contrast, I had colleague who was successful in transferring from Auckland to UNSW as her husband had a job offer in Sydney.
Hi there, I have completed a semester of physiotherapy and received a GPA for that semester but then discontinued, will I still include this in my UAC application in tertiary studies? My atar from last year is above the threshold.
If I did not mention the semester I studied in university this year even though I discontinued the program afterwards would that void my UAC application?
