Why are there multiple differences across both unis then?It doesn't make sense if only CSU did this as interview location does not determine final study location this would be a whole JPM thing rather than just a CSU or WSU initiative
I know what you mean, but...It doesn't make sense if only CSU did this as interview location does not determine final study location
Despite all the discussions, this case here still doesn’t make any sense. JPM is very confusing…So I'm a long time listener, first time poster.
I'm a NSW, RA2 and GWS applicant. 54% percentile, 593 SJT, with a WSU formula score of 613. WSU as first and only preference and have not received an interview. Non-standard
It can make sense. CSU has 80% quota for NSW rural, WSU doesn't.Despite all the discussions, this case here still doesn’t make any sense. JPM is very confusing…
Called it... sounds like NSW preferencing is now a thingMore bad news. A member (unnamed for now, who is ACT with WSU-pref) is quizzing WSU why three others have got invites with apparently lower UCAT scores. I've helped check that these three have higher and/or lower scores in various sections i.e. there isn't one common set of weightings that can mathematically make all three higher than him.
WSU replied they double checked, no errors.
I now realise these three are all NSW whereas this member is ACT. So there must be a higher cutoff for non-NSW at WSU too.

I see that your formula score (i.e. WSU weighted section average) is 759. Although not 100% accurate it does give a rough guide. So far the lowest I've seen for non-rural/non-GWS is around 770.Hello! I'm also quite confused about the WSU interview offers...
I'm non-rural, not gws and a NSW applicant and my ucat scores were 720 660 880 870 SJT-706
I understand that my DM is pre low but I did fine in the other sections but still no invite....
ah I see guess it still wasn't enough then. Thanks!I see that your formula score (i.e. WSU weighted section average) is 759. Although not 100% accurate it does give a rough guide. So far the lowest I've seen for non-rural/non-GWS is around 770.
always possible especially if your right on the cusp (you are from our best info here) wait until the booking system closes next week and then they should release a few top upsah I see guess it still wasn't enough then. Thanks!
also do you think it's possible to perhaps get a top-up letter?
yay at least I have some hope!! thanks for the help! (also rlly sorry but what does 'from our best info' mean?)always possible especially if your right on the cusp (you are from our best info here) wait until the booking system closes next week and then they should release a few top ups
So MSO doesn't have every single applicants invite so say the cutoff is really 770 and the offer we see here is the lowest WSU has offered it is more unlikely for you to get a top up than say if the lowest MSO has offered is 760 if you get what I'm saying. WSU could have also changed the formula we just do not know but my best bet is you may possibly receive a top up offer.yay at least I have some hope!! thanks for the help! ohhh ok I get it now thanks so much for the clarification! So MSO doesn't have every single applicants invite so say the cutoff is really 770 and the offer we see here is the lowest WSU has offered it is more unlikely for you to get a top up than say if the lowest MSO has offered is 760 if you get what I'm saying. how many top upalways possible especially if your right on the cusp (you are from our best info here) wait until the booking system closes next week and then they should release a few top ups
As far as I am aware last year interviews were also conducted over zoom and there were reported top ups here on MSO so there still should be a few top ups even if its just people forgetting to book their interview within the window. However, no-one could give you a straight answer on how many there will be its best not to count on it as your chances are very slim even if you are right on the confirmed cusphow many top up offers are usually released? and given that the interviews are all zoom, would that mean less top up offers since most people will accept and attend, who would be declining?
Yes, UAC informed the applicants of this upon logging in through a yellow alert which asked the applicant to preference one of the two universities and upload a rural confirmation form if they were indeed rural. For the preferencing of WSU and CSU, was there a section in UAC where we had to preference the two unis?
