Congrats to T.J for nabbing the First in Course Award for BioSci 107 this year. Any other winners in this thread?
Oh he got an email congratulating him on his award. Don't think he get anything from it except the record that he achieved the highest grade in that paper? Would def have to look good to the panel deciding on the med applicants tho. Go T.J.!!!!!Howd you find that out?

I highly doubt that, what's your situation? If memory serves me right, weren't you sitting on a 8.0 GPA?Let's just say that I have now kissed Medicine goodbye.
MEDSCI is out how did everybody go?
I don't know all that much about Auckland, but... A GPA of 8.5 is hardly something to cry about? I'd have thought that'd still put you in a really good position med-wise?I got an A.... I just want to cry. GPA is now 8.5 so im really dissapointed now![]()
I'm in the exact same situation.....I personally don't think 8.5 is that bad but I guess when you've be tuned to strive for perfection......anything less feels disappointing (speaking from experience anyway)....I got an A.... I just want to cry. GPA is now 8.5 so im really dissapointed now![]()

wont's think its anything to cry about though, definitely should secure yourself an interview
thanks
An 8.5 is GOOD ENOUGH, as long as your UMAT is ok, aim for an average interview and you should be in.
