I think so? I applied for nursing also (I don't know why -just felt like keeping options open) and then quickly withdrew my application. But I got an interview offer anyway and it was by EC Mail.

Well done and good luck!

Also... Welcome to MSO!

Don't worry, the offers must be coming out soon, they usually only give a week or so notice before the interview (can't remember too well, mine was ages ago, but I what do remember is that it was at very short notice)
My first year GPA was 8.5, can't remember how much UMAT was, maybe around 60s
Anyhow, is doesn't matter what your GPA/UMAT combination is at this stage, focus on doing well at the interview and everything shall fall into place :)

I think it's important to acknowledge that this is a forum after all, and that you should never underestimate the tendency for people to lie (not that im accusing anyone) about information pertaining to their grades (online or in real life). You'll be amazed at how frequently people will "up" their interview score or gpa so they don't feel like they are representing themselves as inadequate.

I kinda thought that it would be the other way round, wouldnt people more likely be honest as the forum is relatively anonomous ?

Do you have a self-selected group of people on this forum who are likely to be the ones trying the hardest to get the good GPAs too.

Guys, Avancetutors sends out announcement and they worry me. The current one talks a lot about the Treaty and its relevance to Maori and PI health. Will they ask us about this in the interview? There's also a bit about asset sales and Pike river mining, which freaks me out because what the heck?

Of course, you should be ready to discuss Maori health issues and how treaty principles are relevant to the NZ health system. Current affairs is likely to be touched on, it's unlikely you'll need to know about any one topic in depth but I would say they'd like to see you are up to date with what is happening in NZ.

Yeah that would be nice, unfortunetly that isn't always the case, anonymity doesn't help with it either. It's your choice what you want to believe, I just gave my personal (learned through experience) advice. There's even some examples on here actually - remember when someone said they had a waiting list spot, which they declined, when they didn't to make someone feel better?

Also what avance is pointing out is just current news topics you should be familiar with in regards to the pike/assets.

Don't worry! Well done on getting an interview! Congrats to everyone else that has also gotten an interview
I was in the first lot on the first day as well, it gives you a chance to set a high standard and they don't have anyone to compare you with, so be positive :)
Actually it doesn't matter what time you have your interview, just be confident and do your best
