I've got my interview offer :)

Well done mate.

Remember you have an advantage over the other standard undergrad kids because you are older. Capitalise on that in the interview by showing how much you've developed over your undergrad degree. It'll set you apart and your early interview time will be good enough that they won't be completely dead from all-day interviews so they'll definetly be listening.

Im rooting for you! BHSc represent!

Just curious, does anyone know what the average interview mark has historically been? my guess is that its between 7 and 8

I think so? I applied for nursing also (I don't know why -just felt like keeping options open) and then quickly withdrew my application. But I got an interview offer anyway and it was by EC Mail.

Probably doing BHSc 1 next year with nursing as a fall back should I fail to get into second year. Can I ask why you withdrew. Do you have an alternative back up plan even though I hope you don't need one.

Hey! Pretty much I just looked at what nursing is and while it's a cool career, it's not suited to me. I knew I wouldn't do it so felt it was an unnecessary back up plan and didn't want to stop someone else getting an interview. Current plan B is finish BHSc and reapply or pharmacy.

Hiya, new on here.
I was just wondering if anyone knew what the cut off score for the 4 cores for OLY1ers was this year? Last year it was 7.25 - previously it had been 7.5 anyone have a clue what this year was/is likely to be?
Cheers.
ITS

From 2011 onwards, the A+ threshold was bumped from 85 to 90, and this may have contributed to a decrease in the 'cut off' core GPA. So the cut off for this year could be similar to last year.

welcome to MSO :) i know a 7.5 that got an interview this year(obviously that doesn't rule out the possibility that the threshold was 7.25 lol, but means it was less than 7.75 which if i'm correct was the highest the cutoff has been)

A friend of mine with 7.25 just got his interview, so 7.25 definitely a possible threshold, possibly even lower

For general entry, is it the same people conducting all the interviews? Or are there several different groups of interviewers?

There are definitely several groups of interviewers, there's no way one group could make it through 400 odd 30 min interviews over 4 days without collapsing from exhaustion, not to mention there aren't enough hours in the day.
