Hey I was just wondering if anyone received a reply to the email that you had to send saying you would attend the interview. I'm just thinking it's a little odd that there was no confirmation but I guess that would be a lot of separate emails for them to send.

Yeah I am applying through 'grad' entry - even though there is strictly no grad entry at Auckland. All applicants are ranked together according to Auckland University. How about yourself?

So how did everyone's interview go?

Mine went well, i think. Needless to say that im sure that the interviewers have a skill at nodding and being encouraging with ppl when they are saying absolute crap, so no help there. It was over pretty quickly, felt like i had just walked in the door and already it was 35min. There was no questions that i hadn't anticipated, but you always feel like you could have done better. All the best with everyone else, and keep us up to date on how you found it.

thats really short i reckon...maybe he/she said something really stupid and was put in the 'auto-boot' category (and therefore no point in carrying on with the interview).

BUT(!!), who knows??

i knw ae !! its either they sed sumthng realy stupid or they wer just so brilliant that they ddnt need the extra time to decide !!

I think other uni's have structured interviews...

UWS?

don't think they can really "run out" of questions at Auckland, the interview is more of a prompted conversation than anything else.

yeah it's very much a prompted conversation. But different interviewers like to probe different things. If you give a convincing answer to something they might probe it a little to see if you actually knew everything
