Anyone in particular that I should contact?
The admissions officer at Adelaide's Faculty of Health Sciences.
In past years this was Beverly Karaffa but I'm not sure who it is now, it might still be her.

Hey Mana,

With a real crap umat of 76, and an atar of low 99s, do i have any hope of getting an Adelaide interview in the second round?
Local applicant, non rural

Looking at these responses, I feel really lucky yet really confused.

177 score, 87% UMAT
SA Resident
Non-Rural
School Leaver

Got an interview offer for Adelaide Med today, already booked a time. What's going on if Adelaide residents with 95-96th percentile aren't getting interviews?

Unlikely, but that's dependent on how low that 99 is. With a 76 you'd really need a 99.95 to qualify.

I dont think so, unless the literacy and numeracy bonus points count? Dont qualify for a disadvantaged school either

Nope not rural.....even with a rural bonus how can that person be placed higher than people with percentile scores in the mid-90s??

Just wondering for my nerdy spreadsheet :) I'm not invested in the wondering and figuring out part (well, not until UTAS offers come out anyway!).

Rural breaks the usual rules. Rural bonus through a rural pathway breaks all the rules.

That said, an 83 percentile from SA with no rural bonus getting an offer and all these people missing out from SA with higher UMAT is a bit odd.
