Does anyone know roughly what umat combination I would need to get a first round interview from unsw as interstate if my predicted atar is 99.85? Also do they discriminate as heavily against interstate as Uni Ade?

Maybe I am a lucky one from interstate that received an offer for interview at Adelaide uni. rural student

Unsw states publicly they do not discriminate against interstate applicants, their policy is to attract the best students wherever they are from.

Being interstate you won't get a 1st round interview (unless applied for with good reason). With 99.85 guesstimate for Umat is around 165, if well above that you receive a 1st round email informing of interview but not to make any travel bookings until confirmation in Jan. If borderline 165 you might not receive this email until 2nd round when your actual Atar is known.
 
Has anyone from Victoria received a JMP interview invitation? If so what was your S1 score and percentile.
Coz I haven't got an interview yet. I got 98%ile with S1 65 S2 63 S3 71
 
Queensland student if get PLACE offer from UQ and Monash, which university should go while have to stay in residential college in both case?
 
UWS doesn't start the actual interview until 22nd of November. I am not sure what do they mean by progressive interview invitations until mid November. By looking at the discussion here, No one has mentioned that they have received an offer int he last 3-5 days. I am not sure what is happening. Does anyone know how many interview offers UWS sent in the first round?

Myself I would choose Monash over UQ for its 5-yr course vs 7 years.
Also the UQ med cohort is huge, around 400 vs Monash 200-250.
 
If I was from QLD I would probably consider staying in QLD as living where you started is often a lot cheaper and you might have parents etc to help support you. The costs of living away from home for 5 years is quite expensive.
 
I do think that UWS has sent out just about all of its offers. If you haven't received one yet, chances are you won't for first round.

If the timing trend continues and what they say is correct (that all interview offers will be sent out prior to Nov), then I would expect offers at around 4-5pm this afternoon.

Just emailed Newcastle and got this reply:

Hi, We haven't received any indication that invitation have been sent to interstate applicants but have been advised that they should be early this week.

Does the UMAT Requirement decrease for second round interviews? or is it for people who have met the UMAT cutoff but didn't meet the predicted ATAR?

You are absolutely right. All I am saying is that the chances seem pretty grim :( After all, I do hope they send out further offers, cause I didn't receive one from them.
