I'd expect you to have multiple med offers from many different medical programs at the end of all this - provided you were applying to all those universities via their rural entry pathways.

In past years you would have universities jostling to get you in their medical programs by offering you scholarships of one sort or another with those kinds of scores (unfortunately not any more.)

UTAS still have quite a good Rural Scholarship program for RA3 or more (I am RA2, booo!). Scholarship applications close tomorrow though...

Yes, I did apply via rural entry pathways. A lot of paper work but hopefully it was worth it.
UNE has a rural equity scholarship for high achievers and a few people from the university have said I'd be a likely candidate for that if I get into the JMP there.

I saw that, but I'm RA2 as well!

Do you know if all JMP interview offers have come out?? I'm an interstate applicant with 98% umat and haven't received an offer yet :(

Ahhh! Alas, we are not quite rural enough! ETA: This is the first year the UTAS ones have been RA3+, previously they've been RA2+.

I'm interstate with 97%, so I'm hoping they're doing all states, other than those which get first round interviews i.e. QLD NSW, in the next week? or maybe I'm overly optimistic

Hey guys, I will be in Vanuatu when the JCU interviews are released (away from the 9th - 16th) and can't guarantee I will have wifi at any stage

I didn't apply to JCU last year so not sure how it's done there. If the offer gives an interview date/time you just turn up on the day, if it asks to book a time slot the booking is your acceptance. Either make arrangement your parents do the latter for you, or leave it until after 16th but it might run out of desirable time slots by then.

To be honest, I'm finding DavidK's posts a little hard to follow.

"my ATAR is 99.95... my UMAT is... 77th %ile"
"just asking for a friend ATAR 99.95, UMAT 77th %ile"
"I got an offer for Armidale..."

There are also posts about a UMAT score of 96th %ile combined with an ATAR of 99.0 (referenced by A1 above) and not getting an offer for Adelaide Med. I feel like the Armidale offer would be for whoever got the 96th %ile UMAT.

For UoN aka JMP you can get an offer with 60, 50, 50, which overall is a poor percentile but still fits JMP's criteria.

Actually, probably not. The other umat scores in section 2 and 3 would be used to distinguish between candidates at the 60 mark for Section 1, so those with a 60/50/50 are probably just missing out. That said, those with 61/50/50 might very well still make it.

Yep, I was going to write 60-61, but since this year’s cut-off appears to be 60 i stuck with that xD. But my point still stands
