JMP JMP: Interview Invites General Discussion

Had a chat with someone from Newcastle med on Wednesday, they said interviews are 100% online this year, and that JMP will be sending out emails to applicants who are eligible for interviews this time next month. Found that last bit interesting because it doesn't say on the key dates, but the sooner the better!

Ahh I will be living in anxiety till then! Anyone else with a 3010 (92%ile prelim, 93%ile mso) or near score feeling extremely nervous? I can’t even concentrate on my interview prep without going through a rollercoaster of emotions. Fingers crossed till then!

Yeah... I'm sitting at a 3,000. I have other options (some med and some dent) but JMP was really the one I was shooting for... I just feel so deflated thinking it would have been plenty the last 2 years but really just so unsure whether it will be enough this year. Just have to wait and see!
 
Hey, I'm not sure if this breaches a clause about revealing the contents of the interview, but does JMP tend to have like a data interpretation or analysis station in their MMIs?

unfortunately mate, if you miss the deadline that's it. They have thousands of applicants a year so they don't make allowances for errors like that I believe.

For JMP, UNSW and JPM it 100% is I'm not sure about other universities but I believe the majority you had tom apply by 30 of sep.... For any of those universities it is too late they won't consider applications at all past that point. Im really sorry I don't know what I'd do at all if I was in your position I can understand this might be super tough to digest :(

Probably a little insensitive to be pulling my leg on a thread above when someone has genuinely potentially missed the deadline man :confused: I get your intention isn't malicious but maybe be a little gentler with it next time. Its an easy mistake to make if you aren't familiar with a medicine application system...

Yep, unfortunately there’s generally a couple of people here at MSO caught out by this every year.

I was thinking the same thing... I was really hoping for offers interview invites in October but apparently previous years has been November

Yeah its definitely mid-nov this year for JMP. JPM will likely be end of October and UNSW will be later again unless you are a rural applicant.

Oh really ... well thank you for letting me know. Now I can stop obsessively checking haha ... At least I already have a Griffith Dent interview which helps calm my nerves a bit <3
