This is exactly what I was trying to say the other day, but got told I was wrong. As far as I’m aware, JMP don’t make general second round offers to individuals. If you’ve been eligible for an offer in an earlier round, but missed out for whatever reason (preferencing or not being competitive), you won’t be considered in later rounds. Later rounds are for people who’ve yet to complete their interview, but will have by then.
Some top up offers (usually via phone) will be made after this to people who missed out in earlier rounds.
That’s my understanding, but I was told this is not the case. And it may not be... it’s just the impression I was given by a current JMP student who was imploring me to ensure JMP was my top preference for Jan round one as that would be my only chance.
LMG! , this was exactly what I was told when I rang them twice to clarify. They said specifically if you had not been offered in the Jan offer round last Friday, you would have no chance of getting into their medical school in 2018. The latter offer rounds are for applicants who have yet to go for their interviews.
Disappointed as I thought I did well for my interview but got to move on.
