Med and Dent - 2018 Entry (Place Offers and Discussion)

Very late and unexpected offer, I had already enrolled at Curtin for Physiotherapy, so I will be swapping over. Following second round offers (which I did not apply for) a place was declined and I was next inline.

If you have no other offers then it's probably worth it if you really want to do medd cause it's 8 years at most, you could get it down to 6 or 7 by reapplying every year to the non standard unis and applying at the end of your bachelor to the 4 year postgrad courses.

If your decision is between taking the UTAS offer and no med offer at all..... then it is definitely worth it.

The alternative is to think about a non-standard or grad pathway. 1) the alternative might not come off. 2) if you take the UTAS pathway then you can still pursue the alternatives. Provided you can fund living away from home then I would suggest you have won the jackpot!

yeah i think suggesting he's won the jackpot is a bit of a stretch lol, the jackpot is getting into an undergrad 5 year degree on your first attempt
 
Any opportunity to study medicine (for someone who really wants it) is a jackpot
it's really not though, the jackpot is the best possible outcome and getting offered bmedres provisional entry really isn't..

and uhhh, no i'm probably not fun at parties...
