Monash Monash Medicine: General Entry Discussion

What is the attire for the Monash interview. I can't seem to find any guidelines online.
I wore formal/business wear (i.e. skirt and blouse) to JCU - would this be appropriate for Monash?
Thanks

There are no guidelines for any medical school interview. We actually have a (overly long) thread on this very topic: What to wear to a medical school interview?

However what you suggest is fine. Just make sure it's comfy for your sake too.

Does anyone have any predictions on how Monash used UCAT/SJT this year? Would be interesting as cut offs didn't seem to rise as high as other unis

I get the feeling cutoff for non-rural Vics has gone up a fair bit. Last year a SEAS-adjusted ATAR (presumably 99.95) got an interview with 80%ile. This year the lowest posted to date is 89%ile.

All my lectures and tutorials have OFF next to them so I can't allocate any of them. Do I just leave it like this?
Is this normal for first year medicine at Monash?
Does the school just give us a set timetable we have to follow?

From this post, pi's review of Monash Med units, you’ll see that Med is a single unit (as opposed to a number of other degrees that are comprised of multiple units per semester).

I suspect (as with most - ?all - undergrad Med courses in Aus), you will have a set timetable specific to Med.

Lear will be able to confirm.

Yep you'll just need to wait till a few days before it starts iirc. You will not be able to pick anything and all will be done for you.

Did Monash offers come out today?

Also can confirm that everything is predetermined on allocate +, hopefully you get a uni free day.

please guide me- how do I get to that thread

I also strongly recommend you read this:

The welcome guide! which details how to use the search function amongst other things...

I know very rough as the ucat is new this year (has monash said how they use it/sjt?) but how well would I have needed to have done in my interview with a 99.7 and 88%tile?
cheers
