has anyone sat the ucat exam yet at parra. last eyar they had black bars on the side of the screens, whereas the year before it was full screen. Does anyone know if Parramatta did black bars on the side (smaller screen) this year. It makes a world of a difference since the scanning distance during VR is much less

For UNSW, the UCAT is borderline to too low for an interview offer in my opinion (I've heard that 93rd percentile is the minimum for an interview). ATAR is excellent however, but I don't think it'll compensate for the UCAT.
Do you know if JCU is going to use the GPA or ATAR?
Saw an offer from last year UNSW with 3010 UCAT and 98.7 ATAR with EAS and GES (not quite sure what GES means). Let's hope for the best.

Hi,
just did my ucat this morning;

UCAT ANZ SUBTEST SCORES
Verbal Reasoning690
Decision Making740
Quantitative Reasoning830
Abstract Reasoning730
Total Score2990
Situational Judgement563

T-T dont think i have a chance at any interviews (not rural or any other special entry schemes) but the QR section wasn't too hard; got time leftover and VR was really hard for me.

First time doing ucat and only did the question banks and mocks on official website; didnt go to any other commerical tutoring place for ucat.
What were your average mock scores like?

Any applicant who has done 1 semester or more of uni JCU will only use their GPA.
do you think I have hope with a ~6.5/6.65 GPA, full week of public-rural volunteering, and 3 letters of recommendation from well-respected people working in rural health? or does UNSW have a better chance?

Members who have asked about your getting-interview chances, sorry I've got browned out after answering many posts.

Please work it out yourselves from this post

(But note that this is based on the UCAT percentile scores last year. It's subject to this year's variations which we don't know until released).

Hey, Just note that JCU doesn't use letters of reference anymore for selecting Med interviews!

Was the applicant rural? I go to UQ and have met quite a few JCU med students over the course of my studies. Some got in even with ATAR as low at 88 so rurality does play a big part.

Hi, I have an ATAR of 99.75 and a UCAT of 3100 (2024), what are my chances at UNSW Med, UoN Med and Adelaide Dentistry? Thanks

- UNSW: should get an interview
- JMP: unlikely, cutoff last year was 3160
- Adel Dent: unlikely, cutoff last year was 3120 (assuming you're interstate; UCAT cutoff is lower for SA students)

Do you know what the cutoff for Adel Med last year was for interstate student?

VR: 720
DM: 760
QR: 890
AR: 780
Total: 3150
SJ: 419
JPM/WSU formula (2xVR + Total) / 6: 765
Predicted/Actual ATAR/GPA: 99.05
Rural:
N/A
State: NSW
Other Special Considerations: N/A

I’m aware I probably won’t meet the JMP cutoff bcs my UCAT is too low, but what are my chances for WSU given I’m not GWS?

Does anyone know what the rural JMP cut-off is? I have heard some people getting in with scores as low as 2100. Would this be true?

I have heard of rural applicants getting interviews with 50ish %ile, which is around 2550-2600.
For 2100 10%ile it must have been a very special case (like possibly an Indigenous applicant).

There’s no specific, pre-determined cut off so no one can tell you what it’ll be this year. You can get a rough guide by looking at the scores that received interview invites last year.

I don’t think indigenous applicants do UCAT. It’s a different process altogether if I remember correctly from Ammikat.

Hi, I am a NZ school leaver and sat my UCAT a few days ago, and received a score of 3390+628. I was wondering whether interstate applicants (or NZ applicants in particular) are eligible for a first-round interview at Monash, or whether we are limited to the interstate round. If we are eligible, could I have a shot at receiving this first-round int offer as I am aware Monash interstate is very competitive? Thanks

hi everyone, i did my ucat a few days ago and here are my results:

600 VR
730 DM
890 QR
750 AR

i'm in GWS and a first year uni student
