As a rural applicant. Does anyone know the UCAT percentile I will need to get an interview at UQ?

All we can go by is what they accepted last year but it might increase from there. They didn’t publish a rural cutoff. There is a post somewhere on here that mentions either 2450 or 2550 as being the lowest rural interview last year. I can’t remember which it was though, sorry.

Last year there was unconfirmed talk of another, small, post-ATAR release round of invites. I can’t remember what came of that.

ETA: just looked at last year’s thread (which is always a good source of info, btw… that’s the whole point of them…) and there are several people there who reported post-ATAR release invites.

So would it be recommended to leave UQ in our preferences for now? But post-ATAR invites wouldn't go too much lower than the current 'cut-off' right?

You can look at posts from last year to get an idea of that. I think they were about 3-4 pages from the end of the thread.

The score I got was 3020 which is in the 93rd%ile, and I haven't received an offer, so does that mean that I just didn't make it?

The UQ 93rd%ile invite is 3030 > 2022 Entry Interview Invites DATA COLLECTION

so looks like you've missed by that small margin (unfortunately there will always be cases like this). Hopefully UQ sends out a few top-up invites with you included.

There were very minimal top up interview invites sent out last year (maybe 2 reported here at MSO, so probably 10-15 total) on the basis of actual ATAR. So if there are any further, they'll come out after ATARs have been released. No idea if that is after ALL nationwide ATARs have been released given the delays in some states this year.

I wonder if this^ was just coincidence. Since UQ's interview selection doesn't involve ATAR and UQ doesn't ask for a predicted, the actual ATAR shouldn't raise an applicant's standing. Unless UQ is of the view that the marginal UCAT but with very high ATAR "deserve" an extra chance.

Hopefully with such ATAR you'll get at least a place offer from Griffith or USC to not miss out completely. Good luck.

From memory, UQ actually used that wording “post-ATAR” to advise they were going to do this. I remember talk about it at the time.
