Hi! When do rural applicants gain interview invites??????

Hey Guys!

As some of you know might know interview offers for UQ came out today.
My sister got a UCAT score of 3120 (95%) and she has not yet received an offer.
And I was wondering if the interview offers come over the time period of 2-3hrs or if they come out within a week?
Could it be the percentile rose to above 96% as my sisters friend who got a 3180 also didn’t recieve an offer?

Any input would help!

When do UQ send offers out completely. I have heard that some people got theirs today, but then others are still waiting for tomorow. Does it also matter if you put UQ as first preference or not? What is the difference between CQU and UQ? And also, when do rural invites come out? Does UQ have a particular Rural CUtoff. PLease let me know ASAP!

UQ rural UCAT cut-off this year is 2690. I just called the admissions team.

I think it was same as UQ, at 96th for non-rurals, maybe a little higher at 97th. Idk about rurals

Wow…that is a significant increase in UCAT score cutoff compared to previous year’s percentiles.

Thats weird. One of my friends with 99% hasn't got an interview offer yet (QLD applicant)

Actually wait, a counter - example to this is the most recent MSO post for interview invites. They got a 93rd percentile and got an invite despite being non-rural.

However, they are QLD. I suspect that UQ and CQU are pulling a UAdel and favouring their own state.

Think they have different cutoffs tho. If you look at last years data, UQ does not give preference to locals while CQU does

Ah. I see. That explains it. I still don’t get why there is such a marginal increase in UCAT percentile since last year? AFAIK, UQ has not changed anything…
