UQ UQ Medicine: Provisional Entry Questions and Discussion

Does anyone know if UQ has already given out top-up offers yet or not?
If not, when will UQ be giving top up offers for interview invites?

I am also waiting but gave up as I don't think there will be any. It seems too late to have any interview invites now

hey, just wondering does UQ give out more offers in next week's round as their website quotes that they will be giving out offers till 17th Feb. Thanks!

Usually they don’t make second round place offers as they will over-offer in the first round and then any remaining places would go to graduate entry students if it so happened that they didn’t fill their quota (unlikely). Whether they change this year is unknown, but I wouldn’t hold out for a second round offer, sorry :(

Best of luck if you have any remaining applications elsewhere.

There were a few second round offers reported on here in the 2021 thread, do you think it will be different this year due to the delays for NSW? I noticed today that nobody is really talking about declining, where last year there were at least 10 on here planning to decline their UQ offer.

I know someone (NSW school leaver) who did a UQ interview this afternoon. So I would assume they plan to make more offers. Otherwise why waste time interviewing?

Hi everyone, just a quick question about enrolments. If I've conditionally accepted a BMP offer (hoping for CSP in later rounds), do I still enroll at UQ using the student number emailed? Or will the student number change if I end up getting a CSP offer from UQ?

The student number won’t change, it’s used to identify you specifically, not your fee structure or contract obligations (which, for a BMP, are with the federal government, not the individual Uni).

I did conditional offer and already finish enrol. If I do not get offer in second or last round, do have to call to QTAC to change conditional acceptance to outright acceptance.

Otherwise, if I don’t get new offer, it is change to automatically change to outright acceptance after finish all round.

You shouldn’t have to contact QTAC - they take your conditional acceptance as a confirmed acceptance if you don’t receive a new offer by the end of top up rounds, which I think is Feb 17th??

Hi! I just wanted to ask if the ATAR requirement for UQ med was a Hurdle or a competitive system? If it is the latter would an ATAR of 98+ with 2 bonus points make you competitive with a 3120 UCAT?

ATAR was a hurdle for UQ Med up to 2020 or 2021. Now I believe it's ATAR 25%, UCAT 25%, interview 50%.

ATAR 98+ with bonus & 3120 do give you a strong headstart in the interview round, in that you don't need as high an interview score as for applicants with lower ATAR/UCAT. But since the interview counts 50%, a poor one will cancel out your ATAR/UCAT advantage.

Hey Guys!

As some of you know might know interview offers for UQ came out today.
My sister got a UCAT score of 3120 (95%) and she has not yet received an offer.
And I was wondering if the interview offers come over the time period of 2-3hrs or if they come out within a week?
Could it be the percentile rose to above 96% as my sisters friend who got a 3180 also didn’t recieve an offer?

Any input would help!
Thanks!

I would expect many people will have enough subject bonuses to max out their ATAR at 99.95, and will therefore be ordered by their UCAT scores as they head into the interviews.
Either way, it’s 50% so you need to smash the interview! Good luck!
