See A1.'s post in my signature (the first link). Then add about 5-6 raw UMAT points to those and you'll have a reasonable estimation.
Thanks very much.

Can you explain the "OS/3" comment?

The heat is on ;) !!!

Am I correct in my assumption that the 'conventional' (via snail mail) partial distribution of interstate JMP interview notifications (a la previous years) is not applicable this year?
All via email only ? ... so it's done and dusted then:(

Yes. It would be very odd for them to use both modalities here and email some but snail mail the others.

Overall Score divided by 3, because UNSW weighs the three sections equally.

Thanks for helping answer this. There is also another reason: ACER used to give UMAT results as average of the three sections (like GAMSAT) and UNSW continues to refer to UMAT scores in this fashion. Next time I update the table will change to Overall score for ease of reading.

Any views on what the likely UNSW UMAT and ATAR cutoffs will be?

This question needs a little elaboration. Mentioning a cutoff score is meaningful when it's a single deciding factor, like S1 for JMP. Where it's a combination of ATAR+UMAT, a 99.8 will most likely get an interview with 170 UMAT but a 98.0 won't with 180. No simple answer which is the cutoff.

ATAR & UMAT numbers are different denominations cannot be totaled for comparison, UNSW probably uses the z-score method ie. [z(ATAR) + z(UMAT)] to rank for interview offers. This link gives a simple explanation > An explanation of z-scores (standardized values)

Sorry mana, when you say add about "5-6" raw points, are you referring to adding 5 as in (os+5)/3 or (os/3)+5?

Mana probably meant adding 5 to the Overall score not the /3 average.
But seeing that JMP S1 cutoff has not gone up from last year I hope that's the case at UNSW too.

Can anyone login to the UWS booking thingo? I know it hasn’t opened yet but i keep getting the invalid UMAT error.

I assumed they would let us in so we can check out how it looks like beforehand and then actually allow bookings to be made on the dates.
i thought that might be case so i emailed UWS and received a this reply: "please wait until the AIBS is enabled", so no the site won't be accessible until the time we can book

Just received an email from UNSW being declined... so i think offers came

^ or is this only for interstate applicants?

*EDIT* no apparently it's for everyone

Yay! Received an UNSW interstate interview email telling me I passed the cutoffs and may be invited to an interview on 24 January.

UMAT - 95%ile (63/59/66)
Predicted ATAR - 99.85/99.95 (not sure, depending on what the school thought of my extended essay)
Rural- no
State - SA
School leaver - Yes

So excited!!
