Received a rejection letter from UNSW :( Is it possible for me to get a later interview?
I'm an interstate applicant and obtained a 98% UMAT percentile. I wasn't aware that we had to put in a predicted ATAR -I swear I checked everywhere! :(

Ahhh, so rough! Sorry to hear it. Your UMAT is great and you clearly worked at it. It's no reflection on you, med just has so many competitive applicants now. Hope there are other offers for ya, otherwise you'll just have to keep killing it on a different path! :)

I believe if you've put everything else in correctly you could get an interview for the late rouns, once actual ATARs are out - would need someone/uni to confirm though, but I feel like I've heard of that happening

didn't your letter say interview offer for late Jan interview will depend on your actual ATAR?

I like to see his scores and offer in print before I believe it ;)
Based on past data even a 99.95 would need Umat around 70%ile, unless he gets EAS and it brings him to 109.95 haha

Oer, I got UNSW interview offer last year can I get a Like now?
 
Has anyone else still not heard anything from UNSW? I feel like they have laughed at my application and aren't even justifying it with a rejection email :facepalm:

They don't look at your written application before they begin the interview.

Gaining an interview is based completely on PREDICTATED ATAR+UMAT so maybe its because of that?

If you haven't received a rejection email yet then you may still have a chance.

Also, check your spam mail. I would presume these universities send majority of their emails in bulk - it's like the GEMSAS system. All are notified whether they were successful or not.
 
Received my UNSW offer this morning, but got rejected by UWS
UMAT: 82%ile (46/66/60)
Predicted: 99.85
Rural - No
State - QLD
School-leaver - Yes

How are people booking interviews? I didn't find any link or anything in the email...

Unless he has Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background, or he has a rural background (even if he's not currently living rural), he's lying to you.

Congrats! Same here for interview booking, I'm assuming they don't let us book yet as we qualify for the interstate January interviews rather than the November/December ones.
