I apologise for coming across as condescending, was not my intention. Honestly, I don't think you were have received interviews so in retrospect not applying did no harm. Congrats on the JMP, everything is a clean slate now and depends only on the interview performance, so you have a very solid shot of getting in! GL HF!
All good mate. Its my first time applying undergrad. So dint have much idea how everything works. My main focus was JMP, coz i ve heard a lot of good things about their anatomy course. I hope i make it!

I've only heard terrible things about their anatomy! Not really known as a surgery based uni I guess. When I was doing my undergrad I did a few anatomy subjects as electives and met multiple med students who were dissatisfied with their course so did extra anatomy classes on top. The anatomy classes I did were awesome though!!

I work with a couple if interns from JMP and they had everything good to say about their anatomy programme, specially UNE.

Sorry friends, but unfortunately with the MD program coming in the ANAT100 elective (done in first year) that you guys talk of has been removed from the JMP.
That was effective this year.

But as someone who did the elective I can confirm it's 10/10 learnt a lot about anatomy.

I am aware that by some it may be perceived as a local sub-tread :) but how about UWA?
The (first round) interviews are scheduled to take place between 1-9 of December but when are the invitations extended?
I am hoping to get one, being 'local with 99.95/98 (predicted ATAR/UMAT) combination.
Unfortunately, no luck elsewhere (for the time being?)
A1, you are from WA, aren't you?

UWA intv offers come out quite late, can't pinpoint the date but like 3rd week Nov last year. I think they deliberately wait until WACE exams are over.

I'm surprised you didn't get a UNSW offer with 99.95 & 98%ile (@MedDent Adel was notified in Nov last year with 99.95 & 86%ile). More surprising is if this is due to UNSW not receiving your predicted ATAR then the email to you shouldn't say ATAR+UMAT not meeting the cutoff. Maybe a generic email, or maybe you should call UNSW's Mr David Boothey to have it clarified.

If you post your UMAT section scores we can guess why you got no offers from UWS and JMP.

Is it confirmed that JMP will be an MD next year?

Almost certain that it will be MD next year.

I say almost because there is the off chance that they decide to scrap the idea last minute again - but I really doubt they will this time because they seem to have figured everything out.

That's awesome, thanks for the info! Can I ask your source? Someone inside the uni i presume?

Going by @phosphene's offer with 58/71/59 it looks like UWS cutoff for non-rural non-GWS is S1+S2=129 (or S1+S2+0.2S3 >140).

Anyone seen any results disagreeing with this? (@LMG mentioned a few with S1+S2 = 126-128 but they were then checked to be rural/GWS).

It's a major jump from previous years while JMP S1=60 has not, maybe UWS has reduced the number of interviewees?

What's the magnitude of the jump, A1?

ETA: Also, do we have confirmed rejection of a score one point below phosphene's? I'm not in a position to check right now. Our numbers could be confounded by the tiny sample size here at MSO.

I remember people saying it was S1+S2+0.5S3 >155. With S3 typically around 60 that equated to S1+S2=125.

I saw @tmkarp above with 60/68/57 not receiving an offer nor a rejection yet, signs that s/he is borderline currently on hold for any spare interview slot. Despite small sample size we have narrowed it down to within 0.5 .

Haven't copped a rejection letter from UNSW yet but I'm not sure they released the emails to QLDers, anyone else from QLD get a UNSW application/rejection?
