I saw Mal08 rural got an offer with 57%ile. Should check with UNSW (Mr David Boothey) why you got declined.

Hey A1. yeah i emailed them apparently as a gap year student, I'm grouped up with the uni students and they send them offers later.

Congrats! Same here for interview booking, I'm assuming they don't let us book yet as we qualify for the interstate January interviews rather than the November ones.

With 2nd round interviews being on one day you will receive an email in Jan giving a dozen time slots and you reply with 4 choices in order of preference. It's organised kind of manually from there.

Have you checked your spam and promotions folder?? Sometimes they're in there

Can I say that if you have 3 interview offers then You have a very good chance for getting a real offer later, unless you mess up all the interviews.

I think most of the interview offers are made to the same group of applicant across different universities.

My guestimate is 60-70% of UNSW and JMP offers are for the same people. When it comes UWS, I suspect more than half of the offers are mainly they have very good weighted UMAT but not very high ATAR. BUt I may be completely wrong here.

Yes. I did recieve an email from UNSW saying thank you for choosing UNSW. Did we have to apply via a UNSW application form as well as UAC?

Yes, there's a special medicine application that you need to have filled out. Did you do a form for UNSW on eMed where they asked you questions like why you want to do medicine?

There was a UNSW application form you had to fill out on their website, same with UWS. Did you do any of these?

Nah, i dint do any of those...there u go..and here i am wondering that why dint i get a rejection email! Lol. I guess i wudnt have made the cut anyways.

You should honestly research the course and read the details on the website if you were serious about getting in. These are 5+ year difficult courses. I'm pretty sure UAC even says that external application is needed, (not 100% on this). What were your umat/predicted atar scores.

I have got a masters degree with GPA of 5.4 and UMAT of 80%ile. Have got a JMP interview, wanted it more than any other uni anyways.

I apologise for coming across as condescending, was not my intention. Honestly, I don't think you were have received interviews so in retrospect not applying did no harm. Congrats on the JMP, everything is a clean slate now and depends only on the interview performance, so you have a very solid shot of getting in! GL HF!

Do you know him since childhood, he may qualify as rural that you don't know of?
If true he's non-ATSI non-rural I can say he'll be wasting his time doing an interview. Among the interview cohort his Umat is rock bottom, Atar below par, even an absolute top interview score will not be enough to lift him to the top third for a place.
