I am an interstate who got an UNSW interview offer. at the bottom of the email it says to reply back if you want an interview in the november/december period. The email was sent from an email address that looks like it is automated. Does anyone know which email i need to reply back to?

I got a JMP interview offer for second round interviews on the 23rd of January since I am an overseas domestic applicant. but the mail I recieved did not state an interview location or time. I was wondering if there is a way to confirm the interview offer?

You can try [email protected] or search for Mr David Boothey's direct email.

Whether the offer email came from UoN or UNE that's your interview location. I think close to the January date you will get another email with more details, but if you want to confirm now search the uni's website for the Med admissions contact.

When booking the UWS interviews, the available course came up as "Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Science"- Is this happening for everyone else too? (I'm assuming it's a typo as the actual course is MBBS)

Yeap mine said the same thing. DW about it.

Hey guys, I've been reading that most have been getting JMP offers. Anyone got rejection emails or do they not send those out to students? I got a rejection email from UWS, but have not heard from Newcastle or New England.

If your s1<60, or section score<50 for any section, then you can assume that you got rejected. If not, then I would check to make sure that the JMP application form was completed. If you satisfy both these conditions, and still haven't received an email, then you should contact them.

Going by @phosphene's offer with 58/71/59 it looks like UWS cutoff for non-rural non-GWS is S1+S2=129 (or S1+S2+0.2S3 >140).

Anyone seen any results disagreeing with this? (@LMG mentioned a few with S1+S2 = 126-128 but they were then checked to be rural/GWS).

It's a major jump from previous years while JMP S1=60 has not, maybe UWS has reduced the number of interviewees?

I know of a 128 (S1 + S2) that was GWS- didn't know they took that into consideration for interview offers :/ (I'm just outside of GWS haha)

Hi guys,
Does anyone know what date/s uTas release their offers for non-standard candidates? Also in general what kind of UMAT scores have previous people got in with? I'm sure these questions have already been answered but with exam prep i really dont wanna go through 37 page looking for the answer haha.
Thanks :)))

I am a 122 (S1 + S2) for GWS with an interview offer for UWS. S3 was appalling (a little below 50). Very surprised I made cut off.

I emailed UTAS last week re. potential offer dates and got a reply that said "we will commence sending out offers in the late November/early December timeframe".

Also, re. previous scores required to get into UTAS. The minimum scores suggested by posts to MSO may have artificially inflated predictions. I have a current UTAS MBBS student friend who got in (rural student/bonded offer/non-standard route) with UMAT 67th %ile. She didn't get first round offer, but certainly wasn't last either and knows of others with lower UMATs.

In other words, who the hell knows what you need!!! It's all sorcery as far as I'm concerned!

ETA: what are your 'stats', if you don't mind me asking (UMAT/GPA/rurality etc).

Sorry to chime, but I was wondering how can UTAS release offers in late Nov if most uni exam results aren't out yet? And what are my chances with a 98%tile UMAT 51/81/66 and a 76 WAM? Thanks

No idea! Going back a few years through the MSO threads, IIRC, offers went out as early as late Oct in 2010/11!

That said, UTAS results are released on the 25th of Nov, so that would fit. No idea about dates for interstate Unis. Also, there'd be non-standard applicants who aren't waiting for exam results at all (like me).

Your scores would stand you in good stead.
