With a cohort-average interview score, my estimate for a place is mid-99s ATAR + mid-90s UMAT (or 99.0 + 99%ile, or 99.9 + 90%ile).

99.0 + 90%ile normally gets an interview but the interview score will need to be much better than cohort average for a place.
Thank you for your reply.:)

Have the Monash finished sending interview offers for interstate students? I heard they do at the end of December. But it seems some students have received according to the posts of MSO. Are they sending rejection emails?

I thought, No interstate offers offers yet (from Monash) for non-rural applicants . It will happen only after 16th of January based on their website.

As Bala said non-rural interstate applicants will hear around mid-Jan for 2nd round interviews. A couple of people posted on MSO of their main round offers but apparently that was a mistake by Monash since one came back said the offer had been withdrawn/changed to 2nd round

So far I know the lowest scoresthat people got Monash interview offers with are: 96.. atar and 82 umat, 99.05 atar and 76 umat both are Victorian with no special considerations, maybe it's not as competitive this year

Difficult to believe 96 & 82%ile got an interview with no special considerations
when we've seen three rurals 99.5/98%, 98.5/100%, 99.7/96% with no offer.

@queenslander, @Cox2699, @amykjk : any further news from Monash?

I definitely think there's been some mistake and they'll probably get second round offers because two of those people had higher scores than me and I got an interview. Also are you sure they're school leavers, 50-50-50, etc? Maybe they forgot to do seas

See @Cox2699 's reply above, the mistake is not only about them being left off the main round but somehow the system skipped so many high ATAR+UMAT applicants resulting in interview cutoff unusually low. The question is will these 96+82%ile, even with a top interview, have any chance of a place when ranked (33/33/33) against the regulars?

Has anyone got more details with regards to WSU second round interviews? My offer originally said they'd send more information around 20th December but they still haven't :(

Last year I received it on 5th Jan presumably after the uni's Christmas-New Year break.

If you are curious of the contents:
Dear Applicant,

I am writing to provide you with an update on your application for the UWS BMedicine/BSurgery.
Following release of final academic ranks, I am pleased to confirm that you have met ATAR threshold and therefore you are eligible for an interview.

Interviews will be held at Campbelltown Campus on Thursday 28 January, 2016
Exact interview times have not been decided at present, however you should plan to be available from 9.00am.

I will email you again by close of business on Friday 22 January, 2016 (following release of main round offers) with details on how and when to RSVP and what details I will require. Please DO NOT RSVP at this time.

There's not so many but just a few examples that you have been made aware of that are interstate rural so they'll probably just get 2nd round it's not that big of a deal. Maybe there was some mistake about their rural status and they were just considered normal interstate.

Hey guys, reporting in with an interview offer today for curtin at around 8pm. I think they are coming out progressively so keep checking your emails if you are expecting something from them. Good luck all!
