Hey guys, reporting in with an interview offer today for curtin at around 8pm. I they are coming out progressively so keep checking your emails if you are expecting something from them. Good luck all!

Congratulations!!! If you don't mind me asking: around what ATAR did you get??

Difficult to believe 96 & 82%ile got an interview with no special considerations
when we've seen three rurals 99.5/98%, 98.5/100%, 99.7/96% with no offer.

@queenslander, @Cox2699, @amykjk : any further news from Monash?
Sad to report 99.5/98% friend did not receive an offer. My hopes are now gone as i am 98.95/91% rural and I was hoping for Monash. Oh well, unless there's a major error in Monash I will probably go to UQ.

Thanks!! In regards to my ATAR...the thing is I did the IB Diploma and the earliest date that ATAR is released to students is on January the 4th...so i don't even know what I got haha. I'm not sure if they release results earlier to universities, but I did receive a Flinders email yesterday saying

"Hi xxx
With your Year 12 results recently being released, we know that it can be a stressful time!"

I believe my predicted ATAR is 99.85, but that's not much to go by since 80% of my grade comes from final exams :P. My UMAT is 95.

More than enough if you do a near top interview, not enough if below average interview.
Also not enough for the no-interview schools except maybe UTas thanks to your S2 score.

Thanks, just asked and got a reply email...

This email is not a official offer from UWA
However, I can tell you given your high ATAR score, you will be eligible for the preferences you put down for UWA.

Do you think I will get it.

This could be an unofficial hint that you have "won" a place, but myself I'm more inclined to think it means your actual ATAR has confirmed you are eligible and that's all UWA can tell at this stage.

On the bright side this person got a place last year with 84%ile

Hi for anyone wondering their chances of a Curtin interview, I recieved an interview offer around 2pm yesterday. My atar was 98.05 and UMAT was 92%ile no special considerations. I am also a NSW applicant. I also got a UNSW interview, with special considerations

Just confirming that Monash interview offers for interstate students don't come out until mid January after home state offers have been made?

Also, I received a western sydney email in october and in the email it says I will be receiving further information around 20 December, however I haven't received anything yet. Has anyone else received anything? Just a bit worried I've done something wrong.

Yea I also got that email and haven't heard anything since, so I decided to call them up and the student representive working there said the department was on leave until the fourth of January. So we'll probably get contacted after that date.

So in regards to the 75 umat and 99.15 atar, what is the chances of them getting in? Even with an amazing interview is it even possible?

So far I know the lowest scores that people got Monash interview offers with are: 96.. atar and 82 umat

The competitiveness for Monash is not far behind Unsw. Here's one with 96/99%ile who Unsw rejected, I still wonder how 96/82%ile got Monash interview with no special considerations (iow... your source of info is doubtful)

Assuming that is for Unsw, this poster wrote 99.65/~80%ile got rejected

So for 99.15/75%ile to get an interview they must have had some special considerations. Without knowing the considerations (ATAR boosted to what, 99.95?) we can't guess what their chances are.

Well it's for Monash so I don't know if that changes anything but they definitely had no special considerations or anything they are a close friend so the source is reliable (99.15 and 75 that is) also they got an acceptance email and then a rejection email and called Monash and Monash said the rejection was a mistake

Looks like Monash has made a mess of the main round interview offers so anything can happen from now, depending on how they gonna to address the situation.

Hi guys. Most uni student centre/med faculty are closed due to the break, anyone know which date when each uni will open ?

I know that UNSW re-opens on the 3rd of January.

I suspect that most unis are doing much the same even if they claim otherwise.

Could all the Monash 'stuff-ups' be due to the fact that some students may not have gotten 50 50 50 minimum in UMAT? I know that the university does not specifically state this, but maybe this is still like an expectation?
Also could some people not be offered interviews due to their low chemistry and English results? Monash requires a minimum of 30 in VCE or equivalent in english and chemistry
