Hi everyone, I just wanted to quickly confirm something!
I'm in a 4yr Physiotherapy degree. I've completed my first year with a poor assssss GPA of 4.5/7. When applying for post-grad med entry, I just wanted to confirm that they only look at the last 3 year of your degree for GPA calculations?? So I take that they won't consider my 1st year poor GPA when applying everywhere?
Appreciate any and all responses :))
to my understanding, theyll count the last 3 years of your degree if it is for GEMSAS schools

Yeah you wouldn't be able to apply to UQ or CQU either (technically a joint program with UQ anyways) - the rest are fair game!
Does this apply to uq dentistry? Because I’ve been told that I am able to take a gap year and reapply for uq dent

The original comment was just in reference to med, but yeah you should be fine to apply to uq dent as a gap year applicant as far as I’m aware.

You wont get ATAR adjustments for UQ if you take a gap year, because the elegibility for UQ atar adjustments is "currently completing year 12", so defo be aware of that as UQ dent you need an adjusted 99.95 im pretty sure.

I'm not sure if that is still true for this year's applicants since someone got an email which said:

Dental Science - the required ranking for entry to Dental Science (adjusted rank of 99.00) is higher than that of the MD program (adjusted rank of 95.00), and that the minimum required UCAT score for a rank 99.00 dental science applicant is 3743 for the 2022 intake.

Are all nsw uni offers gonna be released on the 26th?
I know JMP and UNSW will be released on the 26th, but on WSU's website, they only mention January as the month for offers ... I would assume it is also on the 26th, but I may be wrong.

Does anyone here know if UNSW considers your raw UCAT score or just your percentile when they make offers?
I think typically raw UCAT score, this doesn’t make too much difference at the lower end of UCAT scores (I.e rural applicants) but it can make a massive difference up in the higher end the difference between a low 99 and a high 99 can be massive

Just noticed that there does not seem to be much data collated on Griffith medicine offers. Given that they have already had their main round offer seems unusual.

I think the cutoff was pretty high this year (99.80?) so that may be why.

The amount of offers would be similar though and not much posted just wondering if a lot more offers to come
The majority of offers have gone out quite a small amount of seats have been reserved for NSW students. I think there will be topups but not a lot
