Griffith Griffith Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

Based on the QTAC student profile there were 89 non-school leavers and a total of 115 students Bachelor of Dental Health Science - 233812 - QTAC I'm assuming it would be similar this year?
The year before that it was 62 domestic (60 NSL) with 87 total so I'm not sure about the cohort size. This link says there are around 100 total spots (25 international) and both years had 25-26 internationals so that checks out. My guess would be that they took a larger cohort last year to make up for the smaller cohort the year before i.e. average 100 per year.

Maybe someone that goes to Griffith can weigh in? Crow ?

I have a question, if a unit got reassessed from D to HD today, and the overall GPA increased from 6.875 to a 7. Will entry chances incease or is to too late now?

I had some uni results which were released this afternoon and asked QTAC to manually update them, but the person on the phone said yesterday was the results deadline for the offer round on the 14th since they've already started to process offers (seems to check out with QTAC's social media Login • Instagram ).

If you don't manage to get an offer on the 14th based on your 6.875, then you might be able to get an offer on the 22nd based on the updated 7GPA.

That sucks, what will you do now? Will you try again next year?

I checked the QTAC application site at around 9:30am AEST

Congrats on your offer, and thanks for posting in the offers thread. Just an FYI that Griffith Dent isn’t a true CSP as the final two years are FFP and quite pricey. If you’re not already aware of this, it will definitely be worth looking into. Congrats again.

No offer for me today (7GPA with 1FTE) albeit with late results updated on the 12th after the offer round was processing. I'm assuming they went with my ATAR (99.0) which is probably not enough for dent.

Is it worth enquiring with admissions? Or should I just chill and wait for second round and see what happens from there.

If you haven’t already, I’d probably be wanting to confirm Griffith have noted your late results update because you’re right, your ATAR won’t be enough.

QTAC have noted that they need to re-obtain results so I'm assuming this gets passed along to Griffith? I'll enquire if they do any second round offers and share the news here when I get some more info :) To be fair I haven't seen top-ups/second round dent offers on the forum in previous years so fingers crossed 🤞

ETA: Course offer dates and vacancy information - QTAC according to this BDHSc hasn't closed yet so I might be in with some luck :)

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to you all on receiving your offers. May I suggest giving the Griffith University Dental Students' Association (GUDSA) page a like/follow and to join the Class of 2025 Facebook group.

Cheers and all the best for the year.
Happy to respond to any queries directed to the GUDSA Facebook page inbox.

If i recall correctly, Griffith has stated they keep a very small amount of places open for those with late results (e.g. NZ students, or tertiary students like yourself) in which case, you should be first on the rank list to receive an offer 😁
